Rehash on the MUCK

I'm not sure I'd do 1/4" 3V.....too heavy, even with a full flat grind and drilled out tang. Plus the 3V I get comes "oversize"...and ends up being more like 0.280" thick. The Nessmuks I make with that steel are super beefy and they have a full 2" blade.

I'll think about it....maybe down the road...run an extra beefy version...?!?...I dunno...good suggestion - I won't forget about it.

I'm on your list for the 1/4" 3V nessmuk, but would love to see that knife with the M.U.C.K. handle, for greater control in chopping. You could call it the NessM.U.C.K. What do ya think, Dan?

I also want a SS option.
(Can we see that knife balanced on some hot chicks willowy finger please?-lol)

You guys are killin' me.....:D  :p

I even think this knife in 3V with under a .20 thickness would be great. More of a slicer and less of a chopper. I have just been real impressed with the stain resistance of the 3V you use.

3/16ths would be fine by me, if heat treat is done well 3/16ths is plenty thick in my experience. I would like s30v, I have never owned s90v... but I am open to it. If 3/16ths 3V was an option I think that would be IDEAL!!! :D:thumbup::D
Hope this goes well,
Alex

Yes - the 3V I get is typically oversized - it is around 0.200-0.210 in thickness. So, it will be a tad thicker...

Ok guys...."I've made up my mind and counted to three"

I'm going to do these in 3V - the steel will be on its way next week.

I just signed up for your mailing list. Please add my name to the preorder list, I would like one of these beauties. I really like your 3V steel knives Dan, I just bought a second 3V Bushcrafter on the exchange. I am glad you decided to make more blades in 3V steel!

Will the balance point change much with 3V instead of O1? Might be a little more point forward.

Slightly over sized 3V sounds great, I think this will look great with my Survivor ;). Look forward to hearing from you Dan.
