Rehashing Joe Talmadge's Steel Info

As an update, I recently checked in more detail the ability of the Temperance to chop woods, seasoned, and stability of the edge. With a full grind of 9-10 degrees, no micro, full polish, after 250 chops, maximum force, the edge has 4 small chips about 0.1 mm in depth/width and two large ones about 0.1mm x 1.0 mm. Regrinding out the damage and applying a microbevel this was repeated and the damage reduced to two small chips of 0.1 mm in depth/width. I intend to repeat this a few times, and I have another Temperance and see if the results stabilze.

This is what it takes to do similar damage with a decent tool steel with a 8-10:12-14/0.015" profile on a seven inch blade:

One of these things is not like the other, stainless ROCKS.

Oh shit, the end of the world has come!

The wrenching cry of the Souls of the Damned is being drowned out by sounds of the hoofs pounding on the asphalt....

That bell sounded *years* ago, some people apparently have a reality filter and even when they get ran over they never conclude it might be do to standing in the middle of the road.
