Reinhardt Kukri Now Available

Most excellent!!
Those look great!
Ethan, KA-BAR.....you guys done good. Real good!

And those 710 sheaths look great!!

Clearly looks to have been worth the wait.... now! to wait a touch longer till it becomes available someplace that I can use Paypal on it....( that way the wife doesn't see the charge! )

Wonder how many BK9s this will replace LOL...I'd bet a good 40 to 50% of those that use a 9/16 combo will switch over to the 21/16.....the ( will always have its die hard fans, but this....clearly out classes it!

Will need someone who makes good leather to come up with a solid over the shoulder cross body strap style piggy back sheath that'll fit the 21, piggy back the 16, and just cause you'll have the real estate, it'll need a firesteel holder and tin compartment...belt clip at hip high would be nice too to keep it from swinging out too wide when you bend over or sit.

this thing is going to cost me 500.00+ by time I'm done with it....LOL

Damn first world problems!

It's been over a year since I played with the proto and I can assure you that is one bad ass piece of steel. The 710 sheaths are a no brainer.

Why piggyback the 16 (or anything else) on a back sheath? Seems like it would hinder accessibility. I'm not sure that the length of the BK21 would lend itself to that configuration...but maybe I'm picturing it wrong (or have just gotten old and inflexible).

So it's $222? No thanks. I can get a 5/16" thick O1 steel kukri with an excellent sheath for under $150

That's MSRP.

What's the surface treatment on these? it looks smooth.

I'm going to piggy back a 9 on the 21 with a 16 on the 9 with a 24 on the 16 and a 13 on the 24...yup...

If it sticks out less than a foot, I'll wear it straight on the hip...

Oh yeah...the leatherman will dangle from the bottom ring...

You should get a second setup like that for weak side/cross draw…otherwise you'll be wandering around in circles…

Use and care tips will be available at Smoky Mountain Knife Works all weekend at the Ka-Bar booth...... If you want to see a smiling Ethan, drop by and say Hi.......

20 hours round-trip? That would be fun, though!

Spine sheath action!!

Congrats on the sheath deal! Those look like a great solution, too.
