Kabar NOW has a policy of not announcing things until they are ready to ship so as to prevent people from getting bent out because something glitched and the "announced shipping date" wasn't met. The reason I stated "NOW" is that the RBK was announced nearly 2 years ago and then stuff happened and it was delayed, and delayed, and delayed. If you notice, with the EK knives, they just said "We bought the company. Y'all will like what we do." Then when they were ready to ship, boom, there they were. That was good for me because I was saving my money for the RBK by picking up and selling pecans, aluminum cans and scrap metal, which got me off my butt and exercising more and stretched out the "budget pain". I've had $200 burning a hole in my pocket for 6 months waiting.

OKB kinda gave us a heads up with a subtle tongue in cheek post earlier this week that got peeps to speculating that the release would be soon.

Dexwithers is a member here, and is a Kabar dealer (coyleoutdoors.com). A bunch of us said "When they get re-leased, we want." He put us on a "pre-order" list and when he finally got the go-ahead this morning, he send out invoices.

The only "list" is the Kabar and Becker forums.

I've never really liked the lines of most of the khukris on the market today but that one has broken the mold... I'm sure it chops like the dickens too :thumbup:
