Okay, I stand corrected. They very well may have been law abiding citizens, that merely erupted into a shootout for reasons unknown and were caught in a defensive position. I should not have assumed that they were meth addicts, just based on what little I knew of the situation.

Innocent until proven guilty in the court of law.

We are not the court of law and entitled of expressing our opinions.

In my opinion, most those knives are junk and most those bikers are criminals.

Yeah, well it's a pretty safe bet most bikers in a gang, that has a rival gang that gets in shootouts with them probably are criminals, but we can't be jumping to conclusions can we? :D

Nowhere in this thread did I say people cannot or should not express their opinions however they see fit. Nor do I have any authority to restrict the opinions expressed by others. I merely disagreed with some of the opinions expressed. That sometimes happens on internet forums.

There is a difference between a biker gang and a biker club. You can Google it for yourself and see it's very common for people to think that too.

Ha ha, it's not really classical online bullying when the object of derision is a large group of well armed gang members. [emoji1]

Back to knives, two questions--what is a Batarang and what is that cork screw thing in the first pic?

Second picture, middle row, slightly left of center, with the black handle and brass bolsters... i think it's a Muela. I used to have one that looked awfully similar.

Spyderco Bill Moran bowie....???
Or reasonable facsimile?

It's gotta be a facsimile of a spydie Moran, Spyderco hole is in all their knives including fixed blades.

Batarang is Batman's boomerang, duh.
That twisty guy looks like a knife made from a metal file or a railroad spike or something along those lines.

I was looking for the 110 too. Back in the day any biker worth his salt had a 110 on his belt. What's the world coming to.

Mike

As soon as I saw the pics I started looking for the 110.
A biker gang without a Buck 110 is like a biker gang without a single Harley.

Out of the 58 knives displayed, at least 16 are illegal for public carry in Texas 5 by obvious blade lengths, 1 from being a knuckle knife, as well as being double edged. The other 10 are illegal due to having double edges. There's another 3 that are in their sheaths that are short enough to be legal, but we can't see the blades edge status.

Mostly fixed blades...

"In all, police recovered 480 weapons: 151 guns, along with assorted knives, brass knuckles, batons, hammers, and the bikers' blunt objects of choice -- padlocks wrapped in bandanas."

Is it a Case? I wasn't sure, based on how much the tang sticks out, and there are so many makes of that design.

Looks like a black Sodbuster on the left, and a yellow Trapper on the right side. But generally with these guys it'll be whatever is sold at truck stops and hardware stores.

I'm not surprised that a lot of them look like bargain bin trash...but I am surprised to see some good brands like Spyderco, Case and Cold Steel in there. I'm not surprised to see Buck, though. I love buck, but they're fairly ubiquitous.

Then again, that Bill Moran looks like it might be a fake.

Overall, most of them look like the knives I would expect anyone to carry, bar the fixed blades...hence my surprise at the good ones.
