Remember the Good Ol' days when a

Sure wish I was around to be able to have any of those memories. Although I have gotten many great deals on older Busse knives, it was more luck of the draw than getting an outrageous deal from an “ Old Hog.”

The disturbing thing is someday you can look back at today’s world and will seem better than the current one too.

You can tell about the deals you got and some will think you are exaggerating.

The sad thing is I already do that every day of my life but just always look past it just to get along. It’s a mixed up bizzarro world we all are living in now. LOL

🤔... There was this deal, listed as a Busse, can't remember if as a Busse AS, but with terribly dark pix...something seemed off, so I took copies to Lighroom & blew out the brightness... It was a Pepper Shaker (Assault Shaker variant), & a deal at that. I think only one other member here also caught this, but still about table price some 10+ years after.
Here it is after Garth satinized it 🤙

I have been the recipient of several gifts and incredible trades back in the day. Medical bills have always eaten my INFI back to nothing or at least minimal.
Nothing is as valuable as the friends I've made here though. There are some of the best folks hanging out in HOGdom.

SHSH was $250.00 bucks
and a
SHBM was only $350.00 with the original sheath all day long?
LOL, I didn't think so.... Hahahahahahahaha.... BUT, it use to be that way when I started buying them.
So, Anyone else want to put up when they got a great deal on a Busse?

I remember when Jerry drove a LaBaron Convertible and a dog ate his bumper, when "Two Weeks" meant at least 2 years.
I had 8 Satin SHBM's and 11 SHBM's at one time and dozens of Lean Mean Streets and Prototypes.

Now all I have is 8 MOAB's and a few bags full of stuff I've forgotten the names of.
Once upon a time I was almost an INFI Hog and we use to just give each other knifes for free.
The bestest gift given to me was a Satin Gladius, Thanks GPB ;)

It almost seems like there was World Peace back then...Boy, how times have changed.
Remember when you'd show up to the Infi 1500 to see Mike and ask if I wanted to trade for what was in the bag? All the guys that would come from all the states around to see what Uncle Hammy brought? People making piles of Infi at the opening bell on the tables? BakerJ's SH cookies?
My SHBM returned to me for $200?
My retirement custom NukHeart delivered by Jerry in "03 at a heck of a price?
Frank and I were just talking about you and the old days Saturday. Hope you're doing well.

The good old days….20 plus years ago I ordered an Assault Shaker, Jerry got on the phone and asked me if I wanted a cool one he just whipped up, bead blasted with the spine and inside of the handle holes coated. I jumped on it, unfortunately sold it years ago.

I've lived other side of the woods from the "compound" for decades and remember when, you couldn't buy a Busse because they were never offered for sale and had to wait for a relative to die and hope you were in the will for one.... and when I tried to buy a used one on the X my money wasn't green enough because I wasn't in the club....

"2 weeks"... and it was the longest 8 months EVER! 🤣 but totally worth it, all 20 or 30+ times

And what's really nutz ~ I drooled over getting a TG for so many years.... and Christmas 2 years back I gave my sisters duplicates for Christmas ~ that's when I knew I had way too many Busse's and that will never be a real thing, only a myth 😂 Aint that right Jaxx :D

Anybody remember when the price of a tglb went up to $380? maybe. A rodent 9 was 200. I remember getting a basic 10 for 300 at the show in Columbus. Been a minute.

After the SHBM was discontinued I remember a guy who put 10 of them up for sale on the X for $400 apiece. He was raked over the coals here for trying to make money off us. Wasn’t very long before I was wishing I’d bought all ten.

Funny thing, the term SHBM didn’t originate until years after the original Battle Mistress was discontinued, as a way of distinguishing it from the Ergo and Fusion lines.

There are still HOGs about...
2 awesome members here gifted me 2 Gen2 Skelly Keys at a Blade Show- 1 was a gift @ table price right after the drop, & the other was a straight gift...& if I'm remembering correctly, so were their sheaths, gifted from a certain well known kydex bender.
(Again, thank you GentleHOGs! I still have them both with their pants 😊🤙)

I remember some guy named Chuck convinced me to buy a Satin Jack CG at the Indy 1500 show in early 2002 – it was all down hill after that. So I blame you for my INFI addiction. ;)

Seriously, I hope you're doing well!

Hey Bob, I hope you're doing good also!

Still have my Sap Cap!

(Gifted to me by Uncle Hammy and Gobs of Pork and Bacon)
Still have mine also! Got mine from Mike also. Good to "see" you. Still enjoying the pants you made for my retirement knife. It's been around ;)
