I remember buying that magazine new. Still have it in the bsmt somewhere. That article was my first exposure to Busse, and then meeting him at a show in CA a year or so later. Met Lynn Thompson at the same show. Good old days for sure.

I still remember buying mine at the card and bookstore. Obviously I still have my copy I kept a lot of knife mags. I wish I had went to knife shows back then. Also wish I’d have kept more knives from back then. Many I just gifted away back then.

The Great Western Gun Show in Southern California was the largest gun show in the country with 7 or 8 hangar buildings, the biggest of which was 1000ft long. The rest were about half that size. One entire building was devoted to knife sellers and other accessories. I met many of the companies there or at Las Vegas knife show. Right after that gun show, I placed my first Busse order and not long after had Lynn ship me a few knives directly. Both of which I ended up sending off to Cliff. This is all before the creation of BF.
