Remember to give feedback!

It seems to happen to me for the first time ever : after I noticed that the package was delivered, I politely DMed the buyer to ask if everything was good from his side, and if so, if he could leave me a feedback. No communication from his side whatsoever.

I take pride in being fast and in taking extra care of the packaging as they usually fly outside of my country, and I must admit the absence of communication is kinda disheartening, even more since I don't have many feedback as opposed to him.

The feedback is a two way street. It's helpful for both the buyer and seller. Especially new members.

I always try to leave feedback and have also asked for feedback from sellers with no response. It's just the way it is.

Just had another instance of making a purchase, paid immediately & left the seller positive feedback.

I waited a couple of days to see if the seller was also going to leave me feedback, nothing.
I had the seller's email so I sent him a email and reminded him that I had left him positive feedback and would appreciate it if he would do the same.
Still nothing, no response at all. this makes several times that this has happened.

Something about this system is lacking JMHO.

Rant over, I feel better now. :)

Might be off-base, but I believe the buyer should post feedback first if pleased with the transaction - if not, contact the seller. When I am the seller, I refuse to ask the buyer why feedback wasn’t left, and I will not leave any, either, and will move on. Happens rarely, but so be it.

I guess that is how I need to start doing it also. I have just always done what I needed to (leave feedback) as soon as possible and inform the seller that knife was received and that I like it.

As the Buyer I always reach out to thank the seller and leave feedback. As the Seller I always reach out to the buyer to be sure they are happy and then leave feedback.

You are not off base at all. That's a common protocol across many sales/collectible forums. The LOGIC is that the buyer is the one that needs to be satisfied with the item/transaction. A buyer should extend the courtesy of acknowledging receipt of the item and then leave feedback if they are satisfied with the transaction and the seller should reciprocate.

Good to know thanks. Unfortunately most won't probably go thru all of that to do it
All of that? It isn’t hard.

I always leave feedback. It takes about one minute. Some don’t leave any in return and it irks me. Makes me a bit likely to pass them by on the next deal to buy from or sell to someone else.

I feel ya brother I do the same

I've purchased 3 knives from the Exchange, paid instantly with Paypal and given good ratings when I received the knife. I've only received 1 rating in return.
Don't forget to rate your deal people!
I hear ya on that. I have probably twice as many good deals on here than the 135 feedbacks shown. I leave feedback as soon as I'm paid when I'm selling & as soon as I receive when I'm buying.

Thank you I Irish , I just noticed this thread and it reminded me to leave positive feedback for someone whose feedback came in when I was off on a Sunday.
