Shocking. We have lost one of the most positive daily contributors to this forum. I don't think there was a nicer guy on here. If there is any donation link from the family please post it.

Not good….this post hit me like a hammer….

Mike was such a kind and positive presence on the forum.

Thoughts go out to Mike and his family.

Sometimes it’s hard to find the words to describe what someone meant to you. This is the case for me and I have spent the morning trying to find them.

Mike was a true friend to me. He was always pleasant, kind and helpful. His messages were always uplifting and encouraging. Mike was not afraid to DM you if he thought you were going through a rough time or just needed a message.

He posted and “liked” a lot of posts in my subforum, and let’s face it…his fingerprints are all over this forum (BF) we hold dear. I might not be doing what I do here if it wasn’t for Mike’s (and others) encouraging words.

His contributions to BF, may we never forget. Sometimes I thought that Mike never slept, as he always had time for a fellow knife enthusiast. He was always “emoji-ing” and commenting and just being himself.

He will be dearly missed. Right now, I’m wishing for one more message from the “retired UPS driver,” that will, unfortunately, never arrive.

To his other friends, family and folks who knew him better than I…my deepest and most sincere condolences to you. You will be in my thoughts, prayers and heart during this difficult time.

Rest in peace, my dear friend. May I see you on the other side.

What terrible and tragic news to wake up to. Like many in here I only knew Mike as Retired UPS Driver who was very positive and very encouraging. If the meaning of life is to leave the place a bit neater and better after you check out, he certainly achieved that in leaps and bounds in here and I suspect, very much so IRL.

Mike was one of the truly nicest folks I've ever met during my years online. This is just so friggin' unexpected I don't have words to express how empty it makes me feel.

I was really proud to have Mike reach out to me back channel a while back when he had concerns about a predator who Mike was concerned could be a danger to his family...and I was only too happy to provide what advice I could regarding steps to take.

The world would be a much better place with more men like Mike in it. We have all been diminished by his loss.

Damn everyone, sorry to hear about our friend. Retired UPS Driver Retired UPS Driver Mike was excellent and I hope his family sees how he came here and interacted with all of us. I’ve received messages from Mike just because he wanted to reach out to say the scenery in a picture was awesome, nothing about knives at all, just a positive conversation about our surroundings.
