Remington Bullet...is it worth it? Pictures added

That "patina" looks very much like a vinegar etch. Lots of axe guys use it to get rust off of old heads. I have found that mineral oil and a soft cloth takes that dead look away. It would make a great user if the price was right.

Best regards

Then bone is worn smooth but the bolsters and shield are highly polished. I can't tell for sure but the blades look chemically etched... possibly from a rust remover like Naval Jelly.

Eh, the shield taking a polish doesn't bother me- if you look at the Felsenheld stock I posted in one of the giveaway threads, the bolsters and shield are reasonably shiny while the scales are smooth as ice. Long, long years of pocket time can do that. The blades, though? Those are half gone, at best 50% left. I'd give him $150 for it, but no more. If he hadn't futzed with them, maybe $200. Not $275 by any means.

Jake and Robin, I'm not too sure what he used for the patina but it was something he referred to as "patina". As in I'm going to apply some more patina to it. He said like it was a store bought product not vinegar or naval jelly. I sort of think it might be some sort of gun finishing product. What ever it is, I don't want it.
