At least the site didn't crash like it did for the CW Shaman last year.

What are bots exactly?
"Computers". Think of like video games, but instead of shooting at the player they buy items. At the soonest possible moment it runs a macro and purchases items much faster than a human can. They've been in use on eBay and other sites for years.

Man that's pretty good. There was no notification at all about the harpoon spanto Eklipse. They can't have had more than a dozen.

Couple weeks ago or whenever the spear point Eklipse exclusive dropped, most were gone that day, but maybe a half dozen lingered for another day. That was probably 150 knives. I probably only got mine because I knew when the drop was and what configuration I wanted.

There is another batch coming of the spear points in DLC finishes, which I think will be comparable in quantity to the working finish and stonewash ones.

Jason said the total order was 300 knives.

I was also surprised that the spantos sold out in minutes. Last wave of Eklipse didn't sell as fast.

I have a question of Hinderer specialists : is there a pattern for Hinderer to release new waves of knives ? I am new in the hobby and am totally fond of Hinderer knives, and would like to know if there is a possibility to predict drops of half tracks (wharnie) and xm-18 flipper less.

If there is a pattern Rick keeps it close to his chest. Hinderer production is run in batches. My understanding is a "Batch" is a model and blade shape, as usually some of each finish are done per batch. Batches are planned some 8-12 months out.

So given as they have 8 or 9 folder designs, 2-5 blade shape per design....you can see why it is sometimes years between specific configurations. And this doesn't even start to take into account batch cycles for dealer exclusives or fixed blade models...

Thank you for your insight KAEDC, looks like the second market will be my best bet.

Probably, at least the secondary is reasonably priced nowadays. It migh not seem like it, but production is currently many times what is was 6-7 years ago. Then a XM-18 on the secondary would easily command 2-4 times the MSRP. Dealers pretty much never got stock, winning a show lotto or having 1st responder/military credentials were practically the only way to get a Hinderer at MSRP.
