Well as the saying goes, 1 picture is worth a 1000 words, so here is at least 4000 worth! I will not post any knife photos yet
because I do not want to make everyone jealous ;) Seriously a great time was had by all. We had a great tour of the Great Eastern
factory floor. We got to watch all the skilled crafts persons doing what they do best. Here is some pictures for now, more to follow
in the coming days. :)

Here is an early morning shot that consists of Lt to Rt, Parke1 (Dan), Waynorth (Charlie), Half/Stop (Ron) and Primble (Rob)

For those of us that couldn't make it to the Rendezvous, it's a lot of fun to see the photos. Have a great weekend!

It was great to meet everyone! I had a good time and the factory tour was cool. I wasn't too hot on the 83's until I saw them finishing up some of the Northfield drop points in cocobolo!

Thanks Ron and Ken for some first day photos! You all look great. Nice to put some faces with some names. Nothing like the look or expression on the face of an expectant bunch of knife aficionados! Continue to enjoy yourselves gentlemen and keep those picture coming. Much appreciated, Lloyd

We are all having a great time up here! I knew we were going to have fun, but I had no idea it would be so delicious!! Mmmmmmm!

Glad to hear dinner was good Evan...shame I couldn't stick around. Next year for sure!

Quick picture of the ebony I picked up. I love it. Carrying it already and used it to cut away some dried paint to fit a new screen into an old door.

Wow Jake, that's a beauty! Oh, and all that soup ain't half bad either!

Great photos of some of BF finest members, thanks to all who are taking pictures for those of us stuck at home.

Very cool photos, thank you all for the photos, loved hearing about the Rendezvous through Jake and seeing the faces makes it come to life a bit as Brad said for those of us stuck at home.

Brad, a lot of the light ebony's that were there almost looked like Walnut. I actually laid my walnut TC down next to them and they all blended together pretty darn well. There were a few though that had the blackish streaks through them. I like the figure that it gave them. What else is nice is that every single knife is different. The scale they left behind on the bolsters is completely different on every knife. Some of the blades look darker than others, the bone looks different on each one and so does the wood. Lots of variety!!!

I am once again a picture taker fail person, but it was a great day.

Yeah, like that helps the rest of you.

:o

A few shots from Day 2. Everyone is having a great time! Wish you all could be here:D

These displays are Charlie's and Lyle's. Some of the great knives they brought for us to enjoy

The 1st Display contains the Ancient Barlow's. The 2nd contains some of Charlie's Barlow Collection, including the inspiration for the

Scratted Bone Ancient Barlow. It is visible in the 2nd photo 2nd row from the top down and 4th from the left end.

The 3rd and 4th displays contain Lyle's terrific Farmer Jack collection. It is amazing to listen to Lyle and Charlie tell about these knives.

We are fortunate to have collectors such as Charlie and Lyle that care about and love the history of these great knives.

Primble headed home this afternoon. He took a lot of photos. I am sure he will be posting some when he gets an opportunity.

Another nice day Ron. You're getting some of the good weather, not the rain we've been getting up until now. Wish I could have made it down for another day. I would have liked to have met Gary and Ken.

Look at Evan trying to not spend anymore money HAHA

Just got back from the Rendezvous. It was great meeting those who were there, and a BIG thanks out the the crew at GEC.:thumbup:
