Rendezvous 2015-Anybody Makin' Plans?

I expected that I would still be away from home at Rendezvous time, and I am. To that, I now have the unexpected pleasure of passing my first kidney stone. Ugh! :barf: At least the meds are working on the pain now.

I hope everyone takes lots of pics, has amazing stories to tell, and in particular I'd love to see some great videos of Gary's sharpening demonstrations.

I attended last year, and made a decision to return each year I am able,--after meeting and spending time with Charlie, Lyle, Sarah, Dave and others. They are all just as impressive in person as on the Forum, and the generosity we experience here on the Porch lives in each of them.

Gary, Brett and Robb, sorry to hear you'll not be there, Gary was hoping to view one of those rascals you are always showing off ;) another year perhaps...

Robb, that's a good idea, maybe someone can take a video of me sharpening, we'll see how that goes !

Hopefully some pics of the Rendezvous knives and specials will make it on today, for those of us unable to attend. Unfortunately I'll not be there, but thoroughly enjoyed the last few years I've attended, excited for those there this morning waiting for the doors to open, and catch up with friends.

It's early there, but I imagine some one will help us out, tomorrow I hope to be on site and will get some photos as best I can but won't be until later that night...much later :( (read long drive) before I can get any uploaded.
It's a long drive for sure, for some an even longer travel, like Charlie !

It was great to see some new knives and, more importantly, meet some new people. I wish I could be there Saturday.

Next up, the new Tascosa Lockback in Autumn Jigged bone:

And finally, a red sawcut Beer Scout. Note the spear blade on this one:

Well as the saying goes, 1 picture is worth a 1000 words, so here is at least 4000 worth! I will not post any knife photos yet
because I do not want to make everyone jealous ;) Seriously a great time was had by all. We had a great tour of the Great Eastern
factory floor. We got to watch all the skilled crafts persons doing what they do best. Here is some pictures for now, more to follow
in the coming days. :)

Nice stuff Ron. But you do seem to be about to be stabbed by Forum Legends, watch out:eek::D:D

That Tortoise RV Knife is a snappy looking item , knives always look a treat in that Cryl.
