RENO 2007 - A sneak peak at some awesome blades.

Roger and everyone,
Always interesting to see the photo gallery of Reno knives. Thanks for posting.

Roger,

The drop point damascus and mammoth hunter of Harvey Dean's is my kind of hunter! Thanks for starting a great thread. Wish I could attend this one.

"Mousy"!!!! I LOVE IT!!! (Roger - how do I get that knife?????? )

I could probably buy it for you, Holger, Rik Palm likes me.

BUT...if you decide that you don't like it, tough nuggies!!

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

I will not be at Reno this weekend. My mom is having heart surgery on friday so I will in here instead. Hope you guys have a good time out there.

Well, double crap!

1. Best wishes concerning your situation, I'll pray on it.

2. You will be missed, Mr. Coonfinger! We will meet again, someday soon:D

Thanks STeven! I appreciate the kind offer. I have already sent Rik an email so if he responds and I mention your name, will I get a good table down close to the stage? ;) If I can get "Mousy" I will have so many tiny knives that if I ever get into a rumble with The Lollipop Guild there will be serious bloodshed - drops and drops of it. :D

Very sorry to hear about you Mom Jerry, I will be keeping her in my prayers.

I'd been hoping we would get a look at Burt Foster's table and here we go. Descriptions are from Burt:

This is a further evolution of my desire to find a unique, functional and still affordable cutting tool for active military. This one has a 350 layer random pattern blade (O-1, 15n20) with texture and forge scale on the spine and ricasso. Stainless guard and black micarta handle. Blade is 6.25" with an overall of just under 11"

This is a very small personal carry knife. Damascus blade, guard and ferrule is twisted "W" (O-1, 15n20). Nickel silver spacer and pins with African Blackwood handle and horizontal sheath. Blade is 2.75" and overall is 6"

Laminated clip point hunter (416 stainless with W-2 core). Stainless guard with stabilized amboyna handle. Blade is 4" with an overall of 8.5"

Roger, I really have to thank you for this thread. The eye candy just awes me. Everyone have fun at the show.

STeven, say hi to Rik for me.

Jerry, hope everything is OK with your Mom, prayers sent.

Just wanted to post and apologize for not getting pics up. It's been way too hectic around here to get to them.... besides, the best ones didn't quite get done anyway

Jerry, I'll miss 'ya at the show and your mom will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Off to the aero-porto.
