Interesting exchange. Interesting that this thread was left unlocked.

Heading to BladeHQ tomorrow to look at some Kizer knives. Would have liked to see a subforum here for them.

I'm interested in Kizer's offerings too and would have visited their subforum like I do for other manufacturer's I'm interested in (ie. Becker, Ontario, Spyderco, Benchmade).

Kizer has been waiting in limbo for a year? That's a year too long imo, the powers that be at bladeforums needs to get on this asap.

Given that I just bought a 3 year knifemaker membership so I could get a subforum, seeing this does not make me comfortable......

Brian I think the fact that you aren't a Chinese maker looking to put a hurt on established mass mfrs already here means you should be fine. Kizer's offerings are off the hook in terms of value and I can't blame Blade Forum's ownership for having to carefully weigh the politics of allowing them a mfr forum.

Nothing to worry about. Is everything all set for you already?

Before we jump to unfounded conclusions and make hyperbolic assumptions on things you are not aware of, it's best to have some facts in order. I can see the forum is in the list (available to mods only), there might be an issue with the actual activation of that subforum. Only Spark knows for certain. SO, if you are concerned, drop him an email. I'd leave out the anti-"insert race/culture here" connotations before hand. You wouldn't want to imply anything necessarily.

Whooooaaaaaa Nomo4me, I don't want anything to do with that statement. Leave my name out of that. Let's not go that direction with this.

My statement was only because I had heard there were some problems with the forum servers, then I saw this. My subforum is all set up now, I shouldn't have jumped to conclusions. All is well in my world.

I will refrain from commenting on Nm4m's post.

Nothing to worry about Brian. I figured that the post above needed the lights turned on. It really sucks when you stumble around in the dark for no reason.

RevDevil:

I've sent Spark messages but haven't received a response. If there is a better way to get in touch with him, could you let me know?

Thank you.

Kizer

I can't speak for everyone, Kizer, but I for one would love for you to have your own subforum here. I hope that works out.

Spark is the only one that can create or remove subforums, edit feedback, activate accounts. I replied to your PM.

Keepin' my fingers crossed . . . :)

PS: If Kizer gets a subforum here, they'd be the first cutlery company headquartered in China to have a subforum on BF, right? (No connotations intended! I know we have subforums for companies headquartered in Italy, Germany and Russia. And we have a very active subforum for a US-based company that imports products pretty much exclusively from Nepal. But I don't remember ever seeing a company based in China with a subforum here.)

For what it's worth, I'd love to see a Kizer sub-forum here also. With a collection of 11 Kizers and growing, I might just qualify as the OKFB. (Original Kizer Fan Boy :))

Cool. You may be to Kizer what Scurvy is to ZT! ;)

My local dealer carries Kizer knives so I've had a chance to check out quite a few of them. He discovered them at the SHOT Show last year. All the Kizer knives I've seen seem to be very well made and the prices speak for themselves. At the rate they're going, Kizer will be a force to be reckoned with if they're not there already.

I too would like to see a Kizer sub-forum here. I purchased one awhile back to see what they were like, and was quite impressed. I now have seven.

If spark is the only one who can green light the kizer subforum, why can't one of the mods contact him and guide him to this thread?

I could be mistaken, but I don't believe a request to open a subforum is the kind of thing that would escape Spark's attention.

I just sent another PM and email to Spark, I will wait with my fingers crossed for a positive response.

Thank you for your support!

Kizer.
