Terrible news. I had a chance to talk with Bob at the Chicago Custom Knife Show two years ago.

Never met the legend, but admired his work and what people said about him
being from the northwest i could appreciate his simple but elegant designs
to mans oldest tool.Bob you will be missed but your memory will live in our
hearts thou your past work.and remembered for all your accomplishments

I will miss Bob Lum.

19 years ago I went to him for knifemaking advice. He simply said..."Put the steel to the wheel"

I'll never forget him.
