As far as the way you handle to sell your property, your also right to do as you wish.

. . . .and as long as others can come here and b*tch about it.

:thumbdn: Poor showing CPettersen.

GB&U: This is your area to tell about your experiences (Good or Bad) with dealers, sellers, and individuals you've bought, sold, and traded with.

I agree with Gigster and Kohai.
Thomason is one of the good, trusted folks at Bladeforums and I would do business with him anytime.

EDITED TO ADD:

Aaaarrrghhhh!

I can't remember any Pirates in history that gave instead of took, "Blackbeard the Generous" maybe har de har har.......(cough)

Come now, Morpheus,
The Pirate King from Gilbert and Sullivan's "The Pirates of Penzance" gave the Major General honorary pirate status and agreed not to abduct his daughters when it was believed that he was an orphan. But then, of course, it was later discovered that the Major General was no orphan at all, and had merely pretended to be to serve his own ends.

There has to be a lesson in that.

They be not real Pirates me lad,

Blackbeard, a title he cultivated to his advantage. Before going into battle, he would tie slow-burning fuses to the ends of his beard, then light them as he approached enemy vessels. In many instances the mere sight of him standing on the deck, his legendary jet-black beard glowing and smoking satanically, was enough to terrify merchant captains into immediate surrender.

You are certainly entitled to express your opinion, and by coming out and being a dick, maybe an adult dick, for the way you said it, not what you said, you can be sure that people will not sell to you for that reason, more than not being a Gold Member.

All that being a Gold Member means is that you care enough about BladeForums to financially support it, kind of like the PBS, but for knife nuts.

How dare ye!

As to Blackbeard, you're quite right, the black seeming much more fearsome than his (if I remember correctly) natural red curls. I guess he felt that people were unlikely to surrender to the bloodthirsty pirate, Carrot Top. ;)
I think the fact that he was absolutely huge helped also. I don't know that I believe the 6'8" claim I've seen some places, but the concensus seems to be that he was a big boy. The account of his final cornering and killing is rather spectacular. I think a seriously done movie about him would be interesting. It's not like much embellishment would be necessary--he was pretty much born to be a blockbuster. :)

There are times I have looked at knives and gear posted for sale in the U.S only.I have never taken it personal.Customs can be a pain in the ass ect.The bottom line is you can sell to whoever and however you like.Get over it. :)

Movie quote, pirate talk ;) ;

Barbossa: I'm disinclined to acquiesce to your request. Means "no."

I would like to express my complete agreement with Thomason's right to sell his property to anyone under whatever conditions seem good to him alone.

We should also acknowledge that CPettersen has taken this conversation very well, considering the negative reactions his comments drew.

I now invite you all to join in a rousing chorus of "Kumbaya", and may all the Pirates be hung!
