Reviewing Other Manufacturer's Goods

I must apologize for starting a KH vs HI thread here. It was the first thing I ever posted on a forum. I was wrong to do it, and I am sorry. Every time it pops up I'm embarased. At the time I was unaware of the ettequette.

I must also apologize for starting a Tora thread before using the search to discover for myself why it was a faux pas. It wasn't a review though, but simply a question. It was posted out of respect for the wisdom of our forumites. I'm sorry.

I think I have corrected this behavior. I have certainly tried. I hope you all feel that I better understand the rules today.

Somehow I doubt it! Their forum names were "Hammerman" and "26 Ounces Of Fury." We had a great mod though. ;)

Ok, I post links all the time... Is there some new rule about posting links that I need to know about???

I do not know if it is just me or not, but this forum does not seem very friendly anymore.:(

I am only guessing, because the posts have been edited, but it looks like someone posted a link to another khukuri forum, and the link was edited out??? Or was it a link to a music forum that was edited out... That was my first guess, but that would make even less sense...
I could have sworn that I found out about some of the other forums IN THIS forum??? Is that not allowed now?
I am sorry if it offends anyone, but I think this forums has gone downhill since it was split into two forums...

There was more than just links posted. I am new to forums, and can't say if this one is headed up or down hill. I do love it here though. There is wisdom on all the forums I post to, but here there is a real community. There was a testimonial posted below, and thats not allowed. From what I understand it never has been, so no change there. Nobody got banned, it wasn't intended to be devisive, and its all fine now.:thumbup:

It was quiet for a while last night though. I felt like I did when someone got into serious trouble in class. Stillness. I was waiting for someone to say... "OOOOOOO":D

I agree completely. It wouldn't be any fun if there weren't some excitement from time to time. Of course, I hadn't planned on being the one providing the entertainment. But nobody got hurt. We're all still here. Let's just move on. Enjoy.:thumbup:

Or do we have to do that in the Knife Reviews section?

Shann i think that is OK and encouraged. I think there were just too many things going to give the thread a clear direction that the Super Mod had to be called in for final say.
It should come as no shock that when Cougar comes in that is going to be fair, but heavy handed. Most links slip under the radar and are cool. However, when he has to clean up a situation...he cleans it up:D

The reason for this is that complaining about product "X" here looks like spam on behalf of HI...and it ain't so.

Likewise, sharing interesting links is fine...but you wouldn't shout inside the Chevy dealer that Honda is having a sale, would you?


Simple manners guys...really all it is.
