I had sympathy pains just reading that. Ouch. Although I've never had that happen, I have cut most of my fingers at some point in time -- doesn't feel good! Why not. Well, I happen to own a waved Endura. When I got the knife I loved it, all the awesome features of the Endura with a rapid deployment from the pocket. Unfortunately that rapid deployment caused quite a bit of damage. I had the blade clipped to my right side front pocket like the vast majority of people do. As luck would have it I was talking with a group of people when the idiot next to me saw I had a blade clipped there and wanted to check it out (of course without asking). I happened to be concentrated on talking with someone across from me so I didn't see but sensed when he started to remove the blade from my pocket. I swept my hand down to my pocket as a reaction, catching the now opened blade across three of my fingers, severing multiple nerves and doing tendon damage. Thankfully post-surgery I regained full use of my dominant hand and the nerves have regrown. Certainly wasn't the knife's fault but given the situation if it hadn't been waved I would've been grasping a closed knife. Needless to say I'm a little more conscious of whose around me...
