Revolvers versus Autos plus Revolver Tips

Revolvers have a niche specific use - Somewhat easier to to conceal than full-size autos.

Here's a couple of major difference between revolvers and autos. Imagine using a revolver for these drills:

FAST Drill (my fastest time was 7.96 sec with a 45ACP Sig 220)...this guy does it in 3.56s)

Triple-Nickle Test (my personal best with a 45 is 5.87 sec...this guy does it in 3.83 sec)

Very cool thread - talk about a lot of good info in a small space - this is like revolvers in a can - thanks for the education!!!

Revolver is quite capable of that. It's who the shooter is that matters. :D

ditto for silencers, and I've been asked, begged, and offered large sums of money to do so.

But . . . 2 liter soda bottles are cheap. If they are empty they are only worth a nickle. Or you could get really fancy and spend five bucks on a lawnmower muffler or even an oil filter. Or you could just stick a piece of foam rubber in a PVC pipe and paint it black. If you wanna be silly you can even bore a hole in a raw 'tater and stick that on the end of the muzzle. Back when I was in junior high we used to improvise cans for our .22s out of stuff we found in the trash. It is easy.

Full auto, on the other hand . . . great way to turn a decent semi into a runaway, a jam-o-matic, or a non-functional paperweight. And if it does work, everyone within 5 miles will hear that mag rip and start dropping dimes. Shit, most teenagers can make a semi fire 5-round bursts just by pretending they're wanking on a video game controller. No need for full auto.
