Rick Hinderer Knives Picture Thread

That beadblasted Gen 2 is awesome Tjc591. I love the R. Hinderer etched into the blade. I need to get a Gen. 2 someday. Congratulations. Great pictures also!

Not to be too pedantic, but it isn't etched, it is machined similar to the later generation logo on the lockside. And agreed, it it very cool.

Thank you Joe. :) I love the hunt. I honestly have no idea what I will look for next. Im very content right now. I did order a steel flame investigator pen a few days ago, a new copper bead, and a copper lenslight. As far as knives go I am going to sit back recoup funds for a few months and see what excites me the most in the meantime. Probably something with a custom grind and a working finish I would imagine but we will see. ;)

Have you ever seen that little island in the middle of an 8 lane road? That island is called "content" :) There is a little button to push
to get the light to change, that button is called "forum". ;)

Gundude, I love the ED! I have one and thinks it's the greatest pen

Jensen, what a great family portrait my friend! Nice photo :)

SevenNiner, that custom slicer is sweet bro! Very nice!!

NM08SRT8 awesome bro! Now it's making my wait even harder

Rubi, I'm right there with you bro! Once you think you're content, something catches your eye on the forum. BAM! New hunt!!!

Haha! I love it Rubi. That is hilarious but very very true. Perfect analogy!

My pleasure to upload my Hinderer knife's pics on the last day of 2013 :). Can someone tell me if there is anything wrong with my knife? If you look closely, the stonewashed finish on the blade is not 100%. It's just right on the cutting edge, there is a long gap. The knife hasn't cut through anything since the day I bought. I just sometime cleaned the blade by using mineral oil.

^ beautiful knives and great pictures! That smooth ano scale is killer. Looks like that blade was stropped by the previous owner maybe?

Thanks man, but nahh, I bought it brand new:) I think it's because I cleaned the knife too many times, like everyday when I first had it (because my hands sometimes sweat)

I have noticed that on many brand new XM's. I think it happens from the sharpening process. I've noticed the same on mine as well, and in pictures of others :)

Heat generated will sharpening

By the way your XM looks badass!!

And your knife is perfectly fine

Rick sharpens the knives so quickly and easily, there is no heat to speak of. Then he uses a buffing wheel to take off the burr, what you are seeing/talking about is from the buffing wheel.
