Rick Hinderer Knives Picture Thread

Awesome textured CF set you have there! I dig the uniformity of the standoffs, nicely done!

Thanks man. I can't get enough of them! It's funny how when you get another XM, you just can't wait for the next. Got a 3" in my sights next!

Wow - beautiful Prelude....absolutely stunning. Loving the textured CF with the blue TI standoffs.

Please do not post non-Hinderer manufactured parts in our forum, that would be better suited for the embellishments forum, Rob.

It's raffir, a composite material of natural plant fibres cast in resin. It's a bit transparent, looks just awesome on the light.

In the middle of reorganizing my office I happened to glance out the window and notice that there was some decent light outside..

When I lived here before, I had started to get into photography but fell out of it when I left AK in '07. Haven't really touched the camera again until recently, so I need a lot of work but having Hinderers as subject matter helps with motivation to practice ;)

one word -HUE-.....Amazing don't think you get that kind of light anywhere else, I immediately was drawn to that photo, everything is just glowing! What kind of camera?

Thanks, but I can't take all the credit.. Shot w/ a Canon 20D that's a few years old, but I was really only able to get the colors by taking multiple exposures and merging them to bring out detail. I still didn't quite get exactly what I wanted, the signature on the XM isn't way more washed out that I would like - actually the focal point is a bit past it on the signature on the Fieldtac..

I'm pretty happy with this pic, but still have lots of work to do. All of the great pics on here, notably Rob's but many others - most recently JasonP - have motivated me to get off my butt and spend a bit more time behind my camera instead of the computer monitor ;)

Thanks Jensen, the more I mess with this knife the more I like it! I had to swap out the scales - the orange was waaaay too bright in the pics I was trying to take :)

I'd actually love to find a set of the blue scales for it, they're blue-black actually I think..?

Great pictures AZ, the translucent scale with the blue pivot and scale screws look great, especially with that beautiful background. The Fieldtac in FDE suits it as well, however whenever I see it I picture it in bright orange.

Wow Shane!! Very good pics you took there bro! Like the new scale on the feldtac :)

Great job!!

P.S. Keep up your photography hobby

Thanks Juice! lol, photography is like all of our hobbies - requires time and money.. I have enough gear to get by for the moment, I need to relearn a bunch of stuff and work on quite a few things before I can justify upgrading.. Right now though, it's time constraints that is killing me..

I'm with everyone else, that is an outstanding picture!

Wow, thanks Rob! High praise coming from you - I've been trying to just come close to the level of your pics, still have a lot of work to do :)

HWF.... Nice setup you have going buddy!! Love the new copper bead with the copper investigator :D

HWF - agreed, I dig the patina that both the pen and bead are developing. I'm always torn irt copper, I love the well-used/handled look but I also really like bright new copper as well.

great picture! now i am going to order the trans-green scale! :D

Lol! I've sought out most of the Hinderer stuff (and now flashlights) due to all of the awesome pics everyone posts.
