^^^Great photo Chief!! Very good job you've done there man!! I checked your page out too... Now I know why it's so good!! Love the elk :)

Nice picture chief! If I had to pick only one Hinderer to own that would be the one. Iconic XM 18 spanto with black G10, beautiful!

Sweet photos.

And I too have always liked the look of the blue with the textured c/f...looks nice w/ smooth c/f too.

@Chief...I'm going to take a look at your site when I get a minute...hope you discuss your camera gear.

Thanks for the comments. AZ2AK, I might have known your Dad, for sure we have worked with some of the same folks. The ICBM community has been shrinking since we began shutting down the Titan IIs, then Minuteman IIs. Did my last 4 years at Vandenberg, test launching verses chasing green time was a great experience. SAC needs to come back.

@Need2Know. Top Secret Crypto not required for photo questions. :) I use Canon gear, 5DMKIII and 70D bodies, L zooms and a 100 macro. The bugling bull elk photo on my homepage was shot with a 60D and 100-400L. For knife shots I measure color of the light with a WhiBal, shoot in Raw, convert and crop in CS6. Host my photos on my website so no shenanigans recompressing my jpg files. I prefer natural light, sunny day but in the shade, the sky is my lightbox.

Wow Chief...that first close up photo of the Logo is priceless...I'm sure many companies put detail in their logos and everything, but just seeing that in detail up close goes to show how well XM's are put together. I love the stonewashed background behind the logo. Makes for a nice tattoo!

Chief, thanks for sharing the gear info. It's photos like this one (I took not long ago with an mobile device) that make we wonder what they'd look like if taken on quality purpose-built equipment and hosted like you mentioned without compression and manipulation.

Great shots Chief!! The logo is amazing!! Like these guys are saying... I had no idea that there was that much detail in the logo.... Wow!

^^Love that pic N2K!

Dang, hinderer should use that macro logo shot on their website. It's stunning!
