Joe, I have an extra black scale as well - looks like Chris has you taken care of though.. As rare as they are, I still EDC my PS quite a bit. It's still hanging on my prod wharnie, I've been debating putting it on my WF wharnie but it just kind of fits where it is..

Jensen - good deal! I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya..! Hope to see pics of your DLC slicer and Chris' DLC wharnie later today (well, and my new (to me) WF spearpoint).. Should be a good mail day!!

Thanks for the generous offer guys, I actually have a black, orange and FDE scales stockpiled, I just like keeping my scales on the knives that I set up, you know that centering thing, once I dial it in it stays.
 
^^ I hear that about not wanting to mess with one once it's dialed in. My one and only 3" is a prod spanto that is firmly in the sweet spot and I won't mess with it - at most I'll blow out the lint and dust with compressed air, but I won't touch the pivot. At least it's wearing a sweet blue-black scale that compliments it really well, even though I have frag Ti and CF scales I want to try out. Guess I'll have to hold out for another 3" or two (perhaps a slicer and a wharnie ;)…)..

I'm not superstitious about taking my XM's apart. I know I can dial those badboys right back in :D Even if the need a little persuasion ;)
 
It is funny how scales can add up when collecting XMs, I have a few extra black scales, and not on purpose.

You know when you think about it the XM is kind of like the big block motor of the knife world, tons of power, and amazing bolt-on parts, don't know what made me think of that... /\
 
BT - you really need to stop posting pics of that black-washed XM, I need to get some work done. :hopelessness:

Who am I kidding, keep them up - it's my favorite looking XM. Closely followed by a 3" black dlc :thumbup: I have no idea how I will ever find one, but a 3" black-washed is now my grail.
