The handle is great and very comfortable. I really like that recessed area. It grips into your thumb pretty good and doesn't have any pressure spots. This thing flies open when flipped. Also the jimping on the spine is ramped up slightly.

It also has threaded standoffs so you have six screws instead of three with the XM.

Brian......that's really awesome.....very happy for you.....I'm so pleased you won at Blade and were able to come home with something so cool.
The Eklipse is looking fantastic.....

Thanks everybody. It was a very cool experience to win the text lottery. Really hard making a choice as well. Had a few good options in front of me.

The text lottery was pretty awesome indeed. And justin, the recessed area on the lockbar is pretty neat. :)

Still on the drive home, so I'll let some peeps know how everything went tomorrow or when we get home. Lots of raining from outside the Birmingham area to Mississippi!

So sounds like you had a great day. You have an Eklipse keeping you company on the ride home?

Yeah something like that. I love it man, it feels so right in the hand. I am a huge lover of the finger choil on the xm's, but I do like the Eklipse setup on the blade also. Really cool!

That recessed area you are talking about exists on all of your XMs too. Rick and I were talking about that very topic last week. I believe the reason it looks different or more noticeable on the Eklipse is due to the lack of gimping compared to your XM which has that same recessed machining in addition to the gimping.

Yeah I kinda see it now. On my xm-18 that recessed area only cover about 1/4 to 1/3 of the width of the lock bar. On the Eklipse it is 1/2 of the width.
Both are easy to disengage but the purchase I get on the Eklipse is greater than my XM. To be honest though my XM is one of the more rounded versions. By that I mean all of the edges on the Ti surfaces are more rounded than my previous XM. Both were Gen 4.
