I haven't been a fan of the blu standoffs, but as mentioned by W&S, it looks amazing with that scale. Amazing as in, I don't normally like those, but if I get that scale, I will get those standoffs. So good.
 
Yeah, it was my grail because I love the stamped R.Hinderer on the blade. But the reality was that it's just a little too large for my EDC needs. Too big for my jeans pocket, digs into my leg while I'm sitting. :(While I loved holding it, having it by me at my desk to open boxes etc., I also felt self-conscious using it in public. Before I bought the Gen1 I had always said that the 3" was my perfect EDC. Well, I was right the first time! So I'm going back to a 3" which should arrive tomorrow! :). When I decide something isn't working for me I don't force it, I fix it. Also why not let someone who really loves the 3.5" enjoy it? I traded it to Lone_Wolfe for a couple of nice knives. :)

Get a good sheath if its too big for your jeans pocket ;)

Too obvious I'm carrying a knife. I like to carry my knives in my front right pocket. In OR we can carry knives under 4" concealed. Just my way. But those sheaths look really nice!:thumbup:
 
Thanks, I just have my t-shirt over it, this is how I carry my Fieldtac, need to get a matching sharkskin sheath one of these days for it.

Your photos are always tops. And the knives in them are icing on a very sweet cake.

Hinderer fixed blades are on my want list. Someday I hope to EDC mostly if not only Hinderers. Till then, I have some nice gear to hold me over.

J, your collection of fine tools is growing. Awesome!

Map-- you let loose a grail for many. Had it had a flipper I'd never understand letting it go. But since you pocket the little guy, I see how you let this free. Everyone has different needs / wants and philosophies--none are wrong.

I see you got your end, how you liking that 3"? That was a sweet one, but I didn't have it long. When I bought it to replace the one I gave my brother, I told myself it wasn't trade fodder. A nice Gen 1 can change a person't mind about a lot of things....

BTW, I've already replaced that little slicer............... :p

I'll be even happier when the Gen1 gets into my hot little paws! The poor thing is languishing at the post office right now.

Looks like a nice working finish Spearpoint.

I'm a fan, and really like the Satin with Deep Swedge variant Spearpoint...it's a grail...in 4" or 3.5" w/ a flipper.
