Rick Menefee Knives...

Its black paper. I will post a picture of a 3 5/8 saddlehorn with ironwood and bolsters tomorrow that is being shipped out. My cameria is down. I have not made saddlehorn in maybe a year or so.

Rick asked me to post this up for us all to see.

No matter, I think I've finally made up my mind.

According to Rick it's a 3-5/8" closed size saddle horn.I like the long pull on it,too But I bet,I'd like a reg nail nick, too.Hell,I like everything, when its a nice as this  Beautiful knife Rick

Great knife, Rick!
Almost as nice as your wife's Sand Plum Jelly! (Thanks!!:D)

I just got this Back African Wood Zulu fresh from Rick!! And the Swayback
was from a friend on the Forum!! Let me know what you think of both!
The Zulu is Awesome!! Great action, razor sharp(always) African Blackwood
is very nice!! 154cm Blade steel and is etched on the back of the Blade. My pics doesn't do it justice!! But I try!
Swayback is an older one, But it's in great shape! I just enjoy all of Rick's
Knives and He's a great person to deal with! I'm getting back in line!!
Thanks to Rick for the Zulu!! and Thanks to all for looking!!

Jason

Jason those are beautiful!

Hopefully Rick will have some of that African Blackwood left when he gets to my name.

Rob, that African Blackwood looks a whole lot better than these pics
show!! That Saddlehorn will look awesome with it !! I'm still trying to
learn about taking pics! it's not as easy as I thought it would be!!
Thanks for the kind words! I can't wait to see that Saddlehorn!

Beautiful Zulu! Got a dogleg in African blackwood from Rick a few months ago and it pretty much has permanent residence in my pocket.

Thanks Jason, I can't wait to get it! I've been on Rick's list about a year, hopefully it won't be long.

Nice knives Jason, gotta love that Zulu.
Ricks steel type is tang stamped on the blade of his newer slipjoints, not etched.

That's some great looking Saddlehorn. A nail doesn't seem like really needed to open it. Great job...!!

So the blackwood is nice and durable?

Yes its pretty tough wood, dropped it a few times and no dings or cracks, just light scuffing that darkens and sorta "heals" with the moisture and oil from hands which I feel adds character. Very nice grains that will darken over time, I think you'll love it on your incoming knife. Post some pics when you get it.
