Rick Menefee Knives...

I have been working instead of being here for a week or two. Stay tuned i have a few pictures of the the big show knives. Several 2 blades moving on to three and four.

Here are a few kwik shots Rick snapped off. He's been busy, trying to take care of custom orders of many types of knives & set some Blade Show knives aside
I figured you'd like to see these. Most of these are not 100% finished out.

More folders & a peek at two BIG knives, one a fillet (newest & biggest size & design to date) for a very deserving hard working man & the other,is actually a one of,it's a new addition to my kitchen set from Rick witch has been in the making for quite some time. I named that the "Five Points Coffin" A large steak slicer, fillet, big bad boy,5/32" CPM 154 ss tapered tang, the coffin handle was Rick's idea. Top left corner, second knife in is another one for my set,a very unique design swayback handle utility/parer,that's all Rick's thinking up,can hardly wait.

Wow, those shop photos are really cool! I just got an education by simply looking through them. Must be fun in there with the skills to make it all work right.

Thanks for posting.

Awesome shots. Thank you Roland, Vince, Rick.

VINCE wait until you get that honey in your hand. I was down there yesterday and got to handle it. lots of nice items there.

Thanks for the kind words. I have been in high gear. I work different than most people. I make knifes like you work livestock in batches. I try to use my time wisely. When knifes are in the heat treat oven or cryo-cycles i cut out and profile the next bunch. When glue is drying on handles i am grinding blades. I have about 5 grinders each with a different belts when i start finish work i just go from machine to machine alot of time several are running at the same time. I go to 600 grit belt on everything and then i go back and hand sand from 400 grit to 5000 grit by hand. I try not to use a buffing machine most of the time. This year will be the least amount of knifes i have ever took to a show. Maybe ??????????? 12. The last several years i took 30.

MIKE I CAN STEEL GETTER-DONE you think i am getting to old to nock-em out

Rick, it's obvious you are a hard worker no matter what the job, but this really is something: "i start finish work i just go from machine to machine alot of time several are running at the same time."
Wow, standing between 2 belt sanders, blade in each hand, head going side to side as you keep checking, doin em both at once !
Well if that isn't the best use of 2 hands ever.
