Rick Menefee Shadow.

Hey folks,

I know Larry won't mind if I tag onto his thread here with my latest Rick Menefee which arrived yesterday.

It's about 3 & 7/8" closed with a 154cm clip point blade with natural micarta scales. This one has no liners and is so light (about 1.5 oz.) that it could end up in the Maytag if I don't pay attention. :)

Rick told me he is using a new 14" grinding wheel and this blade is really nicely done with a thin edge (which I asked for) at about 0.010" behind the edge. Note the nice swedge work. It's a wicked slicer. If you're harvesting zombie marrow, better stick with your Buck Strider. ;)
The blade is perfectly centered. Close inspection reveals a few grinder marks on the blade spine just above the swedging, and the backspring is just a very little bit proud in the closed position. It is flush in the open and halfstop position. Overall, I am really happy with this pocketknife, and already have another on order from Rick.

This one will be a nice partner to my wharncliffe trapper which is seen here:

I'm happy to hear what you think about this one.

Ford, It looks like another good one. I'd like to hold it my hand because I'm sure it's lighter than what I imagine. And great pictures too.

Great looking knife, Ford. That looks like a great companion!

That is real nice! nice long clip blade, good curve, whole knife curve flows well... And I have to say the best color I have ever seen on micarta...

Really Nice knife there, just got my first Rick. Congrats on your score.

Very nice one Ford! I just got two in the mail from Rick this week also. I will post some pictures as soon as I can take them.

I finally took time to take a few pictures of my new ones from Rick. The pictures are not the best, but the knives are top notch. Both are about 3 1/2" closed. Fit and finish are very near perfect. I am very pleased with them. Rick was a real pleasure to deal with and I am sure these will not be the last, I just have to decide which pattern is next!

Nice ones JD. I have a 3.5" in clip point D2 and black linen micarta on order from Rick and I am really looking forward to it.

Thanks for showing yours.

I as waiting for at least one of you lucky guys to show these.Great knife (another) Campbell How is the tree hanging in there?
-Vince

Ha. It's starting to get a lot of holes in it. Unfortunately it is a cedar tree and the sap isn't that tasty...

I know it's the same tree you always stick 'em in.I can tell.Is the path to your still right around there?

Nice one Campbell.

btw, if you take a teaspoon of that cedar sap once a day, you won't get as many moths in your ears. (Folksyopathic Medicine) ;)
