Ah, yes, have seen those before. I have entertained the thought of getting a ss from him as well.
 
You guys know of a good folding shovel? I want to get one for when I go prospecting, but I want something that will last!

I have a USGI E-tool no idea how it compares to what is available in the civilian world but its a good tool. I have a molle holster for it. I have heard good things about the Cold Steel shovel but it doesn't fold.

Hunter, Google german folding shovel.
I got a pair of them that are tough as nails, they are ww2 shovels with the heavy pick on the back and they can be a shovel or a hoe and pick, great tools.
I think the place i got mine was called keep shooting or something like that
 
I have a SOG folding shovel somewhere not bad for the $9 that I paid for it, but I'm sure there are better ones out there.

Haven't even taken them off yet.
I'm not sure how much room is actually in there.

+1 on the HEST folder. Kind of pricey though they seem pretty stout.
I haven't found anything that'll kick the Manix2 out of my pocket yet.

Oh hell yes, looks much better. I like the end cut off like that. The handle looks ten times better. Never cared for the way that handle looked. MUCH better.
 
Well here is what I have been carrying a bit recently. I etched the logos then blued them then stripped it. Going to let it get a patina going. Its thinner than I had thought....thinner than a BK14 but has a good sized handle for a little knife. Ethan make us a tweener with a 14 blade please.
