It has been an honor to have shared my life with you. You saved my life, made me laugh and helped me become a better person. You were the best of dogs...

Buddy Carroll Nov 2000 - Oct 2009

I'll be putting Buddy's ashes out where I spread Walosi and mom's ashes in the Big Horns... probably this weekend. He always liked that area.

Can you all say a prayer, send up smoke for a good dog? He'd appreciate that (so would I).

Thanks,

Alan

Smoke,Song And Prayer for a safe journey. RIP Buddy.
Condolences for N.Y.

Smoke form California. I could always feel the bond between the two of you even over the internet.

Smoke and Prayers for you and your Buddy.

May his ashes find company with those of his other family members.

Kathy and I were just talking about losing pets over dinner tonight. :( We lost her cat about this time a few years ago. Still, not a day goes by that she isn't fondly remembered.

Earnest prayers and heartfelt good wishes for peace and comfort to you both from Kat and me.

Rest in Peace, Buddy. You will not be forgotten by the people you touched.

The Unforgotten

I wake up in the morning,
Tears running down my cheeks.
I find I’m missing you more
Even after all these weeks.

Ten years ago I didn’t want you,
But into my life you came.
Ten fine years we had together
My life will never be the same.

I have a new friend now
Who is my pride and joy.
But the tears keep on flowing
For you… my best old boy.

Thanks guys. This is every bit as hard as I thought it'd be... :(

Smoke up for Buddy, another four legged that'll never be forgotten.

Alan I had too put down my favorite Airedale Rufus over 25 years ago and there isn't a week goes by that I don't remember Rufus fondly at least once.
I'll never ever forget Rufus, the best buddy any human ever had! :D

Sorry for your loss. I think that our dogs don't live as long as we do because they love us so hard. All you can do is your best for your friend.

Smoke and dog treats, Buddy.:)

I'm dog-sitting for a friend right now; I know what you mean about the value of, "four-legged friends."

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Damn, so sorry to hear. I'm sure he was glad to have a good friend like you.
