RIP Buddy

Smoke and prayers from Reno

Weather permitting tomorrow, I'll be taking Buddy up to where I spread out Walosi and mom's ashes in the Big Horns. It'll be a week since he walked west. It is supposed to be rain/snow/wind tomorrow and I don't want to spread his ashes out in that kind of weather... so it is tentative at this point.

Here is hoping for a nice day.

Coping with his absence is moving forward a little bit each day, with some setbacks like today (long day for me). He was my immediate family... present every day for almost 9 years. The majority of that time it was just him and me against the world. The hardest part is coming home for lunch or from work. Those always were big times at the house. I still catch myself saying hello/goodbye to him :P

But it is getting a little easier each day.

Thanks Kis for the email.

Alan

Having spent the last 20 years living with canines as my sole company, I really and truly know what you are feeling.

I hope conditions are suitable for you to do what has to be done.
