My brother Tod (tarmx101) was killed in a car accident on the 19th, of Jan 2011. A Ford Explorer VS a Semi crossing the center line. He lost. I know he loved it here. He would come to camp with some made up Pepsi can stove, or a new plastic knife ( I know know as a Mora) and talk about them forever. He showed me this site a Loooong time ago. I just didn't take interest until recently. Then soon after he was killed.

He was a good man. Went through HELL..... and made it back. Started contracting overseas, and was gone, but came back the same as when he left. IM SORRY it took me so long to come out with it. I just couldn't type the words. It just made it so final you know. He was so smart... data center design, engineering, an such.

I'm a brick mason. Nothing wrong with that, but my brother just had a gift! He LOVED it here. I can see why. Sorry it took me so long tog to bring it out. I just miss him.

Mods.....I came here trying to learn the "inside rules". I know this belongs somewhere else..... but Tod hung out here most. PLEASE keep it here.

(( Let's keep this in W&SS please. -- Esav Benyamin ))

To Tod...... you were the best. You came out of crap and made it into silver. That is all............

Wow, I am so sorry to hear that. Though I never met him in person, he was a friend through the forum and I chatted with him quite a bit, he was really a great guy. Thoughts and prayers to your family.

Man that sucks, I chatted with Tod many times via PM and e-mail.
I had been wondering about him. I knew he was doing some work abroad.

thanks for letting us know,

Bryan

If I remember correctly aren't you the one that helped him with the big knife (forum knife) you guys did awhile back. He was pissed that the guy he was "promoting" came out lame. "Didn't deliver" was his words.

Thanks Sicily...... and Hollow Dweller

Thank YOU for letting us know.

I've always found it really touching that when people walk west that they leave word or their relatives care enough to come back and let their community know.

He was a nice guy and gave of himself and his time setting up the knife thing you mention.

Yeah, that was how he and I first started talking was because of the forum knife. I knew he was a good guy then, and he was really angry about the other maker.

Thank you Hollow. I know he loved knives, the outdoors, and all or you folks. His girls were his LIFE. He did what he could during his short life to instill the outdoors to them. I'm just so sorry he is gone. Sooooooooooooo Soooooooooooorrry. He was SMART, good, and he had some troubles. All that a younger brother can lean from. He never hid his problems, or his successes. He was SMART. Much smarter than me. Now I have a part of his three kids.......... SHIT......... how do I match him....... SHIT. This is why I didn't want to start with this. He had so Maaaaaaaaaaaaany friends. Real life...... and otherwise. He had a GIFT. Speed to you Brother......... God Speed..........

This is how good my brother was. He kept some emal-posts from when you were upset about "a change in the Koster BC knife". You obviously had a problem with something that changed and my Brother made it a point to save your posts in his email. I have no idea what you and he hade in contact...... but he cared. It's obvious.

Sorry to hear about your brother man, my thoughts and prayers are with you.

That is very sad news. I remember his postings here, he was definately one of the good guys! I still remeber that Reeves Double bit as his avatar.

He will certainly be missed by those lucky enough to chat with him here.

Here is a pic from a hike he did, in which I used the bottom pic as my screen saver for a while.

RIP Buddy.

Pics edited out. I should have known better, I sincerely never meant to upset you.

I am so sorry for yours and our loss.

Warm regards,

Tony

Sorry for such a loss to fall on you. But most of the stuff in this forum is about learning and practising simple skills. I ?Enjoyed Tarmix's posts. Thanks for passing the word and as far as his kids, just be the best uncle you can be.

Oh man.....I was wondering about him. I chatted with him via email and PM quite a bit, and actually bought my first Barkie off of him. A great guy that will be missed. :(

Sorry for the loss of your brother. I liked him alot. Sad day.

We lost a good guy. I feel terrible for his family. I hope you find the strength to remember the good times.

Goodbye, Tod. Go in peace.

we only come to dream
we only come to pray
we only hope for the best of times
that when they come they stay

and while we sit around and hope
i hope we all remember
to get out and run in the sun or the rain
and make our own times better
