RIP Tarmix101 01-19-2011

I'm sorry to hear this. Prayers from Atlanta.

I remember Tarmix101 and his avatar with the beautiful double-bit axe. I'm sorry for your loss.

Again...... testament to him. I didn't want this to be about me..... or my introduction to W&S.S. However its hard to be out from my brothers shadow. He loved it here, and love to share. He and I both carved wood from an early age. Loved knives. He just took off with it some time back.

Too ALL OF YOU! Its a testament to him. He will be/is well remembered.

I got a nice little Brusletto knife from him that I still keep hanging off a hook in the kitchen. It's just right for utility, paring, cutting up fruit. We also worked on the ATAX video passaround, which was fun.

I don't know about the ATAX...... but I do know he worked on several different projects.

Thanks to all.........

This is not a pic of Tod. Its a pic of his friend Steve. Tod didn't care how old you were, or where you came from. Steve is 51 here. Tod is 37. Still a great pic. Tod's buddy Steve leaning up against a ginormus (sic) cedar tree on a trip into nowhere. ;)

A story to you all here. Our cousin Tommy was 6'1". Big, played football, and was strong. He and Tod ahead with a arm wrestling match 4-5 years ago. Tod was a 5'11" string of sinew from head to toe. TOD WON. It took some time. Tommy just gave up not being able to beat Tod..... and Tod won. We all LOST a few dollars. We thought Tommy would kill him. All these memories are just flooding back to me now that he is gone.

Loss is always painful. I just returned from the PNW (Whidbey Island) where we had a great memorial for my Uncle...at age 78, he had the heart of a 30 year old...often riding his road bike 40-60 miles a day. Unofficially, it was possibly a stroke or aneurysm; traveling at 40 miles an hour on a bicycle really chewed him up.

The loss is always painful and often full of questions asking why...there's a reason and you must look to the good; we celebrate the birth of a new life and we really need to celebrate the accomplishments of a life...even if short.

I can feel your pain and offer plenty of prayers and smoke...I remember your brother's posts and enjoyed his friendship even if just on a forum. My sincerest condolences for you brother and family...remember to celebrate the memory to ease the pain of loss,
