Hot on the heels of this thread

http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=394517&highlight=bark+river

I sent the stock I had back to BRKT at the behest of M. Stewart, they recieved it 6 weeks ago and still no refund dispite calling Mike twice and sending a PM last week to him on another forum where he moderates.

I filed an official complaint with the US Postal Inspectors and the Feds from a link on the USPS site. WTF is wrong with people recently? It seems like you cant go one day without hearing about someone getting shafted.

No, I am not a member there. I did PM him though at Outdoors-Magazine where he moderates a BRKT section.

The thing is I called the guy the first time and left with a good feeling. 6 weeks though and another call and PM later is taking the piss, its not a lot of money, but its not pocket change either.

I've had it with being patient and reasonable and trusting. I will take this as far as I need to go to either recover the money or to get some measure of satisfaction out of it.
I have friends that are pally with Postal Inspectors, maybe they can bump it up the line and get a resolution faster than normal. Who knows, but I will be calling the local PD and the AG's office too.

Temper, sorry to hear that MS continues to give you the jerk around. Maybe the bark river chear leaders will help get your money back... dare to dream.

Thanks for the Heads up! I was going to order one but, changed my mind now. Thanks!:thumbdn:

Don't own a Bark River. Cuz bought the micro canadian a few months ago. He remarked that the handles weren't even as he is anal about aesthetics, but I convinced him to keep the knife anyway. He got used to it and marveled at how sharp it was. A few weeks ago he asked me about resharpening a convex edge as he said it had some major chips in it. I asked him WTF he was cutting with it and he said just cardboard and some pine. I figured he was FoS until I read this.
It seems entirely possible that there may have been or may continue to be QC issues with BRKT. My $.02.

Its going from MI to MS though.

I think that MS is considered a foreign country; hence, the parcel will cross an international border. :p :D

Just got off the phone with the Escanaba Post Office to report the situ, she is going to look into it for me.

Are you located in Japan still?

What is MI and MS?

Yes , I am that far behind the rest.

S/F,
CEYA!

It only takes a moment to register at a site. Stewart isn't that active here but is on Knifeforums. In general if someone was complaining about transactions with you how would you want them to handle it in that regard. That said, I can understand irritation/anger considering how you were treated.

Cliff, I PM him at another forum (Outoors-Magazine) where he has a BRKT section and moderates.

I'm sick of taking the time to do it. And for any of the BRKT fans, dealers and pals that report no problems, great customer service and how they should be mentioned for sainthood, then maybe they want to pony up the $950.00 and get BRKT to reimburse them.

I was told that it can take more than a week to get from MI to MS, not according to Escanaba Post Office it doesnt. I spoke again with a lady there at the post office and some things are getting ready to be put into motion, if this 'cheque' does not make it to MS by end of business Monday. I have had problems with this company since December of last year.

I can understand your frustration, especially given the responce to the last thread which trivialized it.

-Cliff

So, the Post Office lady goes down there and they deny knowledge of the package. Funny says she, as it was signed for on the 30th of March.

US Postal Inspector is going down there very soon.
