  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Ritter Grip, yes or no?

Yes!
I love mine.
Super steel for me (M2 & M4).
Here's my 4 Ritters.....2 full size & 2 mini's.

Keyman, do you know if they often do runs with M2 or M4?? Im thinking of picking up a black coated ritter and would love M2 or M4....rather take advantage of the corrosion resistance of the bk2 coat (is that what its called?) and the hardness of M4 :)

Ritter grips rock. My only Benchmade is a mini Ritter grip. I'm more of a Spyderco kinda guy, but the Ritter grip is a very nice knife.

I bought one, but I just am not a big fan of the handle material. I love the shape, size, and the stonewash on the blade itself, but the handle material just is not comfortable for me personally. Carried it a few times but I put it back into the box and haven't gotten around to selling it off yet.

Yes, go with it, I have both, the large & mini, great steel & love the blade shape, also the axis lock. (won't overdo it this time):) Gary

No worries Gary, I like when people get enthusiastic about their knives, it inspires me to carry more of my own. ;)

No problem Rev, I think I overdid it last time, but I enjoy being here, Im having fun & learning a lot over the years.Knives changed since I started to enjoy them back in the 80s. Always learning something new. Thanks Gary

The Ritter Griptilian is really nice. I give it a BIG yes for it's blade geometry. One of my all time favorite folders.

Lately I have been tempted by the Benchmade's "Customize Your Griptilian" program just for the cool factor. Check out their website for more info. You can choose handle color (including different colors on each side), blade shape, blade steel, clip, and even have your name (or whatever you want) written on the blade. Unfortunately the Ritter blade is not an option though. With the rise in prices on Benchmade knives, I think the customized Griptilian is looking more attractive from a price standpoint.

I bought them(several) when they first came out. the prices were decent, I do have to say they are high, but I will say this from my own experience I never had a problem with their service over the years, to me owning a BM is worth it. Thanks Gary

I have the Ritter mini and like it a lot just as is. I'm a big Spyderco fan but the Ritter mini is right up there in the "glad I have one" list.

Love the Ritter!

Carried this one today.

The M2 will not be used again.
Although, in my opinion, it is the very best.
It was really rough on BM's machinery.
It's too hard.....go figure!
Now, please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
But, I believe the M4 has been used once on the full size and a couple of times on the mini's.
You can find M2's occasionally.
But, be ready to pay out the nose for it.
The M4 mini's can be found more often.
It's been quite a while now since any LE Ritters have been produced.
I'm waiting for the full size and the mini in M390.
Now, that would be sweet.
