Ritter Mini Color Choice...Please Help Me Decide...

I am trying to decide if I should purchase the black or orange Ritter Mini Griptilian. I love all my Spyderco Orange G10 knives, but was not impressed with the Benchmade full-sized Griptilian in orange. It seemed dull by comparison to the Spyderco G10 orange knives. Is the orange used on the Ritter mini a similar orange to the stock Benchmade knives or is it more vibrant?

Also, what are your thoughts on the durability of the Valox colored scales vs the Noryl black scales?

It really doesn't matter, you'll be buying some custom scales for it eventually anyway...

Same orange as the regular full size griptilians.

Also, what are your thoughts on the durability of the Valox colored scales vs the Noryl black scales?

Th orange (and yellow) handles hold up just fine, the coloring is all the way through the Valox, unlike the brown sand colored handles in the past, that was a "skin" coating over black handles,and tended to wear fast.
 
I have a mini Ritter grip with stock yellow scales. I'm extremely happy with the choice. The yellow is a matte color, and it has not changed after several years of everyday use. I assume the orange would be similar.

If I were you, I would go for the orange. There are few things more frustrating than dropping a knife in the woods or tall grass and not being able to find it.
 
Go orange. I've had almost every handle color mini grip (including the ritter) and sold all but the black one. Still regret it!
 
Thanks for all the help. I am still not sure about the color choice, but don't think I can make a bad decision here. They are all nice.

This seemed the most relevant thread so Ill ask here. How is the baby blue mini grip? Is it too bright? I was thinking black or blue. I like the yellow but I have a dragonfly in yellow and although i love the color, the yellow is so bright that i feel like it draws attention to my pocket. Is the baby blue manly enough? lol I figure the blue would look decent with jeans, but that would involve me spending extra money on a STR clip lol

Dunno if they are a vendor here, but I know a site that sells Titanium deep carry clips that fit a mingrip that are only $8. Send me an email and I can send you a link. Here is what one of the designs looks like:

Those who have the blue one.. are you happy with the color? How has it held up over time? Custom scales right now arent an option

Nice, hadn't heard about another run yet, I'll definitely be picking one up to put into my cuscadi cf micarta scales. Now how about a stonewashed m390 version...?
 
At first I was going to hold out for the M4 version, but I am not a fan of a black blade so just went with the plain old ritter version
