I've got one on my Mini grip and one on my Delica and the retention is just fine. However I installed one on my Paramilitary 2 and it didn't work too good, the weight of the knife made it feel as though it could accidently slide out of my pocket.
 
I second the recommendation for Cuscadi scales......they are awesome and make the Ritter grips a thing of beauty!!
 
How do you justify buying new scales for a knife that cost just about the same price of the knife itself? Dont get me wrong. The scales look great, but sure are pricey

Nice!!!! I just placed my order, already have a set of cuscadi cf micarta scales on my s30v ritter mini. Not to decide whether I want another set or maybe some Wilkins, or sell the s30v to recoup sone of the money... Decisions decisions.
 
Orange G10 with smooth black backspacer custom scales just ordered from Luke at Cuscadi! This Ritter Mini is getting better everyday!

Im in the minority here but I like the stock scales on grip/ritter grip. They're plastic but dont feel flimsy and are very comfortable. Part of what makes the grip (specifically the ritter grip) such a great edc knife is how light it is. Replacing the rounded, light weight scales with some flat, heavy slabs of g10 seems like it would take away from what makes the knife great. Might as well just get a spyderco or one of the other benchmades with a similar profile in the first place and save some money.
 
My Ritter Mini M4 (orange) and S30V (black) just arrived today and they are very nice. Thanks for all the help in making this decision. Now for the custom scales to arrive!

Lucky!!!! My M4 was supposed to be here today but alas, my local post office likes to take their sweet time sorting. How it can get from Louisiana to my post office in MN in one day and then take 2 days to go a few more blocks I will never know...
 
Got mine today too, it's a awesome little knife and it came very very sharp from the factory.
 
My only complaint with the M4 Ritter is the painted clip it came stock with. However, that was quickly fixed by a call to Benchmade. I told the Benchmade representative about the incoming Ritter and he is sending me the black split arrow and Parkerized Stainless Steel clips. Great knife and wonderful customer service!
 
Just got the Wilkins aluminum black grips and they are great. Stone washed the clip to match the Ritter blade. Also for the op, Wilkins has a set of orange g-10 coming in the next week or so.

I had a set of cuscadi, but sent them back due to problems with the fit. Could get the blade play out without tightening the pivot until the action was basically locked up. I hear his stuff is usually really nice, but I guess I have bad luck.

Wilkins for me I guess. Now on to titanium and g-10.
