Ritter Mini Color Choice...Please Help Me Decide...

It's been a long and exciting journey, but here is one of my Ritter Mini Grips in Orange Wilkins Scales!

Thanks for all the help with this decision.

These Wilkins scales fit perfectly, are solid in the hand, are beautifully made and transform a great knife into a stellar knife!

I e-mailed Kevin yesterday about the swimming pool green scales and he said the material is not even available from the manufacturer right now. Darn.

Yeah... That's the one down fall of Wilkins scales, he makes what he wants when he wants. You just gotta be lucky enough to snag them before they're gone. I'd love a set of swimming pool green mini scales as well.

I need to check the site more often! He has the large in stock and I almost ordered them even though I don't even have a large grip, lol

Been there and done that, it is easier to get the knife than the scales. When you see something you like jump on them because they do go fast.

Might not be a bad idea. You can always buy a large Ritter... You can't always buy Wilkins grips in the color you want...

The black aluminum are nice also, just got them today.

My pictures suck!!!!!

Here is where I landed after a few months of waiting for custom scales and clips to arrive...

Cuscadi Carbon Fiber Micarta Contoured with stock split arrow clip and Wilkins Smooth G10 with titanium STR low rider clip.

I am very pleased with both of these knives! The tolerances on these customs scales is very tight and they are very well made.

Lookin good. ^^^^

Your cf micarta scales are nearly identical to mine aside from the back spacer (mine is glow in the dark). I've carried those scales more than anything else over the past 6 months, first with a standard s30v blade like yours and most recently with a m4 dlc blade and couldn't be happier with it. I've since been trying to decide what to do with my standard ritter mini. Originally I had planned to sell it when I got the m4 version, but I've become somewhat attached to it, so it got designated to car duty in case I ever forget my knife (blasphemy I know....). I've recently been thinking that it too could use a nice set of custom scales. I'm thinking I want to try Wilkins this time, but they have to be just the right ones. Orange isn't really my style, and I already have WAY too much black, so I guess I'll hold out for a while and hope for swimming pool green to show up soon.

I had the M4, but could not bring myself to use it...just too nice and I was a little worried about corrosion.

The Wilkins scales feel very substantial in the hand, but the Cuscadi scales just beg to be held...

I think the Orange will be for outdoor use and the Black for EDC. I have a new to me Small Sebenza winning the battle for pocket time at the moment.

Those green Wilkins do look very nice!

The m4 version is nice, and rare as well, but in the end its not an art knife, its a Ritter grip, a knife that's meant to be used. To each his own I suppose, but man, I LOVE the m4 more and more every time I use it. M4 is a very aggressive cutter and takes a ridiculous edge.

I bought two of the oranges to avoid this issue. I have like-numbered M2 and CPM-M4 Ritters in both sizes and have been reluctant to use them. Bingo, orange M4 Ritter solves that problem. It's a great knife!
