Ritter RSK2 in textured carbon fiber and CPM Magnacut!

They were in stock. Now it states pre order as they will definitely be getting more as they are the only dealer of that particular knife and all it’s configurations.

Looks nice and I like that they're running it 63-64 hrc. The large is too big for me, but if they come out with a mini in this confguration I will be interested.
I think it's about a perfect size, but I also want a mini in this configuration. This is a real sweet spot for me for user knives in terms of price.

I gifted away my previous RSK but was never particularly impressed with the steel while I had it, but this looks like a solid upgrade over their 20CV. I pre-ordered one of these and can't wait to try it. If they hit their hardness targets while using Larrin's recommended HT practices then I'll be very happy.

Great! So Magnacut has better toughness, better wear resistance, and better corrosion resistance than 20cv? Is it more expensive than 20cv?

I like it.. I'm passing, something about it just doesn't sing to me.

Hope you guys enjoy it.

It was $40 more than the regular model, but that covered the steel upgrade and the handle material upgrade.

wish the CF scales were smooth instead of textured. Texture usually hides the beautiful pattern of CF.

I don't like the texture on the G10 version because of how it feels in my hand. It's provides awesome traction if I'm wearing gloves but that isn't very often. I have other gear that falls into that category and it just doesn't get much use.

I've been one of the guys clamoring for smooth scales, wood scales, or even just lightly checkered scales for this knife. (Hogue does a really nice job with the checkering options on their hardwood grips.) I got excited when I saw that new scale material was involved. Now I'm a little disappointed. I don't love carbon fiber as a handle material but I often find it visually appealing. I agree with you on the effect of the texture here and that puts it at odds with my main draw for CF.

I still got one, but I am pretty sure this dealer had a polished black paper micarta Griptilian in M390 with brass hardware a few years ago, and that same thing just with Magnacut would have been a real handsome knife.

Makes me want to buy one and swap on the scales from my Orange RSK.

The Ritter Grips as far as I am concerned may actually be the best or very close to the best buy out there in terms of high end value.

I do prefer to give up a little edge retention for toughness in a blade but 20CV as far as I know is a very good steel and a very well liked steel. I like the fact that different colors are available and the texture as well as the looks of the G10 are spot on in my view. Having a small and large version is icing on the cake.

They are in my view complete out of the factory.

I think the magnacut being a tougher steel is well suited to the larger model although it would be nice on the smaller one too. I am not head over heels about carbon fiber due to difficulties obtaining high quality sample expressed by knife makers. In a knife this small it may not be as important as it would be in the construction of a bicycle frame and maybe even a lesser quality specimen may be more than strong enough (maybe someone can chime in here.)

I do like the fact that Carbon Fiber is lightweight. I am all for lightweight durability. For all I know Hogue may be using top of the line carbon fiber.

All black is not my cup of tea but it seems to be a very popular option among a lot of knife owners. I wonder if you can swap out the carbon fiber handle for the more colorful G10 ones.

I like bright cheerful colors, exotic colors and polished steel although a black blade and black hardware can provide stunning contrast with other cheerful colors like orange, neon, red, or purple and probably a lot of others.

That being said I would have jumped on this one if it was available earlier because I like the fact that toughness was a consideration in the manufacturing of magnacut. This is also a high value knife for the money.

American made by an underdog knife maker who has actually contributed so much for the cause of knife owners all over this country is a big plus in addition to the EXCELLENT QUALITY of these knives.

I agree, I think the Ritter Griptilian/RSK is in many ways a perfect folding knife. Great blade design, great size, great lock design, great handle, great materials, great execution by the manufacturer, and great price.

I don't really like the look of carbon fiber so I hope they eventually do a regular g10 version
