They have a milled starburst texture pattern radiating from the pivot, so there wouldn't be any polishing on this one.They look good. I, like someone else here said, really like when manufactures polish the carbon fiber instead of the machined finish. Very few do it though because it takes a lot more time and labor. But anyway, I'm hoping that someone will do a light polishing on one of these so I can check it out. I'd love to get one one of these days and do it myself. I let an old gold class grip go years ago that looked very similar, but without the texturing and always kicked myself.
This picture shows exactly why I prefer smooth CF scales to the textured ones.
