I just realized I have over 1,000 posts (I need to cruise W&SS less and get out more
), so I figure it's time for a giveaway contest!
Unfortunately, I don't have anything really cool to giveaway right now. All I have to offer is either a never-used and never-sharpened SOG PE Seal Pup Elite OR a Spyderco PE Native. The winner will take his pick.
If you choose the pup, you'll get both the kydex and nylon sheaths. I know many aren’t fans of AUS8 (at SOG’s price anyway) and the knife screams tactical de-animator, but I think it’s a decent knife nonetheless…especially for free! You could always strip it, grind off the spine rasp, alter the handle, and reprofile the edge to make it a little better. I’m sure someone could find a use for this little guy.
For those who absolutely detest AUS8, the Native is NIB; it never felt right in my hand, so it was never used.
A few pics:
To enter, you only need to post three things:
1) A favorite outdoor picture (special/beautiful place, wildlife, you doing an outdoor activity, camping with the family or your goofy friends…whatever, as long as it’s in nature!)
2) A haiku to go with that picture
3) A pic of your favorite knife (please include the name)
I’ll close this contest on Saturday morning, 2/28/09, and have my lady pick the winner (based on the outdoor pic and haiku, but you must have all 3 things to qualify!). Ganbatte!
