One of my favorite knives is a custom hunter by maker Robert Dark. I use this knife all the time, but I noticed the ebony scales had shrunk exposing the tang. This is no fault of Robert's. I live in Alaska and the very dry air in the winter plays havoc with wood. Guitars crack, rifle stocks shrink and change point of aim, and wood furniture checks. Anyway, I sent the knife back to Robert for a touch up and he turned it around in a few days at no charge and now the knife is like new again. This is just great service from a busy maker. I can't say enough about the quality of his knives and his approach to customer service. If you don't have a Dark knife, you should. He posts in the Maker Forum where you can find his knives for sale. Highly recommended.
