Robin Hawkins, aka "Harpy"

Dann, you may still receive that $20, things can and do get lost, email and ask for the Money Order # and call USPS up and see when and if they know where it was cashed at?

Sorry to hear the knife wasn't in as described condition, but sounds like it is coming together just the same.

Gary,
I'm pretty SURE that there wasn't a Money Order sent to me from (him) in the first place, so it would be a waste of time to bother the guys at the USPS...I have already pretty much come to the conclusion that I won't ever see that $20 from him.

Robin, Harpy, Dennis, The Commander, Waiter4u,

If this all has been some sort of mis-understanding, here is your chance to make-good on your promise to me; Send the $20 Money Order to me at:

Dann Fassnacht
708 North L Street Apt. 2
Aberdeen, WA 98520

I have enclosed my address just in-case you might have misplaced it.

Do the right thing...You'll be a better man for it

So what did he do under the Dennis Sweetster name that made everybody mad? I'm just curious. Oh, and BTW, how was his Driver's License obtained?

Mike

He didn't do anything under the Dennid J. Sweetser name. He did however become a notorious troll under many different names starting with TTO and going through a couple of dozen others. It all started with him lying about being badly injured by a Spyderco knife and has progressed to him ripping of members of this forum. He is a pathetic, lying bag of schit.

Glockman, email me if you'd like the laundry list of Dennis stuff I've accumulated over the past year. I met with him in August in person to politely request that he cease and desist his activities on the USN, and I have a few other things that might help keep him off of this board if he's to be banned.

Well, I FINALLY received an email from Dennis last night (as Dennis) telling me that he would be sending the $20 Money Order to me shortly, with a demand that his address be removed from this thread. At this point I'm taking a "wait and see" position on the $20...:). As far as removing his address from this thread goes, I'm going to leave that up to either Spark or Cougar.

And again, I wish to thank everyone for their support in all this, and your drive to make (and keep) BladeForums the BEST "BB" on the web.

I wish a Merry Christmas, and a GREAT New Year to all...Even to Dennis.

Maybe we need a "warning" list.

That could be good, but a "bad" list could cause soooo many problems. It would have to be a sticky open only to moderators, listing people who were proven rip-offs, not something we could post on every time someone made us mad because they didn't answer an email fast enough.
There's enough pettiness and finger pointing around here that it would just be a massive, but very shortlived (however fun to read) flamefest, otherwise.

I can think of a few names that could be listed in a sticky post, but there's some controversy about all of them -- even Botach has supporters. The real problem is checking a list couldn't possibly substitute for searching the forum, and since you have to search the forum anyway....

I can certainly understand the temptation to condense this forum to a single post, but too much information would have to be left out.

Plus I don't want to be sued over such a list.

Oh, so that's who it is? I have read a bunch of posts that you referenced to. I see said the blind man. So, why is he using the alias of Robin Hawkins if he is trying to be a standup guy?

In the email that I received from Dennis last night, he mentioned that "Robin Hawkins" is his wife's name. I GUESS he used her name in the trade between he and I because (at least he was smart enough to know that) if I knew that it was he (Dennis Sweetser) that I was trading with, that I wouldn't have gone through with the trade, due to his "checkered" past here at BladeForums..

(I guess I forgot to mention to him in our back and forth emails that I'm a retired Deputy Sheriff, and that I am still very good at investigations.:).).

He's probably back already.

Once again Dennis is proving that he is a total waste of air. He seems to think that he can demand that his address be taken out of Dann's post. That's ok Dann, feel free to remove his address if you wish. I have it, along with his phone number written down for reference. If anybody wants it in the future, I will be more than happy to provide it.

Edited to add.

As far as a permanent bad list is concerned, I have my reservations about this. I have seen this on another forum and I immediately thought that it was a bad idea. It could be too easily used unfairly to destroy the reputation of someone that does not deserve to have this happen to them. The people on this bad list have all been banned so how can they defend themselves from their accusers. Their names are permanently on this list even if they have rectified the problem and it seems that there is no one making sure that the names are not being put on this list out of vindictiveness.

I know this may be redundant, but what about posting a list of "Forumites with questionable habits", and rank them on the list by points given for each type of infraction. I know no system would please everyone, and it may be extra work for someone to do this, but I don't think anyone would be run down for spite, unless someone who really has no life (read-TROLL!) wants to go to all the effort to bang up an honest mans rep. But the backside of this would be if other members of the forums give contradictary evidence to disallow the claims of an accuser, then points will be removed, as would doing business like the rest of us would restore a good persons standing. This is what we each basiclly do in reading this & other threads to form opinions of situations posed by those having troubles with aonther.
I know it's not easy, and it really suckkks when you have to air this out once you've been burned; I guess i'm just lucky that all the good folks on the boards I have traded & bought from represent the majority. just my 2 cents. pm

I knew this "Harpy" idiot was TT(Zer)O the first time I read one of his posts, and he went on the ignore list just like all his other usernames before did. He's always the same.
Here's a suggestion for everybody.
Get a username, and make sure that their email matches the username on the forum. Do a search, and read their posts. If you don't like what you see, don't deal with them. It's that simple. You aren't under any obligation to deal with any individual.

Well, it's Friday, Dec. 27th, and the mailman just left my mailbox. STILL no Money Order from Dennis.. I guess that's about it, as I now KNOW that I'll NEVER see that $20 that Mr. Sweetser PROMISED to send to me a MONTH ago .

Below is a copy of the last email that Dennis/Robin/Harpy/Waiter4u/The Commander/TTO sent to me:

"Date: Mon, 23 Dec 2002 00:37:37 -0500
Subject: 20$
From: "DJ Sweetser" <my-e-mail@earthlink.net> | This is Spam | Add to Address Book
To: glockman99@yahoo.com, glockman99@hotmail.com

I sent the second MO, The problem was I sent them to the
wrong address
I didn't put the apartment number. I'll gladly fedex you
yet another
20$ mo puting me at 60$ worth of MOs. I only ask you pull
my damn
address OFF BFC immediatly. I'll send out your MO monday
23rd via FEDEX
to the address listed in the forums. And for the record you
didn't
trade with me you traded with my wife. I took over things
on this end
when there was a complaint about the delica she sent. She
bought the
knife for me, and since i didn't like the steel handle she
traded it
fir a watch for me.my wifes name is Robin Hawkins-Sweetser.

Dennis
"

I really got a kick out of where he said that he didn't put my apartment number on the last Money Order that he "sent" to me...If he just put my NAME and zip code on the envelope, it WOULD get to me...Aberdeen is a fairly small town, and I know EVERYONE who works at my local Post Office (and they know me)!

...And I traded WITH HIS WIFE???

Well, I tried to email Dennis/Robin/Harpy/etc., but it looks like his two "earthlink" email address are no-longer valid (I received "Failure to deliver" notices), so I'll post the email here for him to read:

"Dennis (Robin/Harpy/etc...),

Well, it's Saturday, Dec. 28th, and I still haven't
received that $20 Money Order from you (to help
even-out the trade that we made a month ago), and it
doesn't
look like I ever will, so this is the end of it. I am
not happy, but that's just the way it goes sometimes.
At least I DO have that Spyderco Delica to remember
you by...So that makes me alot better off than some of
the people who have had dealings with (you).

Shame on you for lying to me about sending the $20
Money Order to even-up our trade, and about you
trading-in the messed-up Delica to your dealer for a
new one. Neither one of those ever happened. You
went against your "word".

I feel very good about the guy I see looking back at
me in the mirror when I'm shaving each morning, and I
hope that you grow to like the guy that you see in
your mirror. Please take the time to think about how
you conduct business, and maybe you will grow as a
person alittle bit.

I wish you well, and I wish for you to wear that Timex
watch in good health. I won't bother you again.

Have a good and safe New Year.
