Arghhhh!!!!!!!
So this morning I went out to hunt*. After about 45 mins of waiting, I heard a deer come up behind me, but it came too fast for me to be ready for it. The deer came about 5 FREAKING FEET from me, and came closer!!!! Then I felt it's antlers dicking with the small tree I was leaning up against! (not making this up, for real.) I couldn't stand it anymore after the antler poked my hood/head. I reeled around and let of a shot (I couldn't have missed, it was less than 1' away) the massive buck runs off about 50' and I shot what I could see (his hindquarters). He took off down the hill (we live on in a hollow, and I was on the crest of one of the sides), with me in hot pursuit. Long story short, I lost him at the driveway. (the middle and bottom of the hollow). Keep reading....
This evening I went out again, and within 5 mins of sitting THERE HE WAS AGAIN!!!!!! This time I got a good look at him because he was walking slowly and only about 40' away, and he was about 4X the size of the doe I shot. I shot, right in the kill zone, and he didn't even twitch (the gun is perfectly sighted in, I'm so close the all I can see in the scope is him) I racked another round in and shot again, this time he started jogging, and I took after him. After about 100 yards I lost him, and about 10 mins after that the neighbors shot.
My mom is letting me stay home tomorrow to look for it, I'm pretty sure that I got him, but in the failing light I missed him when I was looking. We will see......
