Rolex Deepsea

Tell me Matt, when was the last time you descended to 12,000 feet below sea level? Did it bother your ears? Nice watch! I like the Titanium back, the curved sapphire crystal and the Glidelock clasp. My Sub is only good to 1,000 feet, but I hardly ever get down that far.
 
Very nice! I always thought that one of these days I would get me a Rolex but I find myself wearing a watch less and less. Even when i've had a watch on and I wondered about time I pulled out my phone to look.

I have been playing with the idea but having tried one on a few times now there is just no getting past it looking more like I'm trying to wear a piece of furnature than a watch. I'll stick with the Sub for now. :p
 
Also just sent off payment for a one off DDR AXD 5.5" in Chad Nichols M390 core damascus. Darrel says it should be done in a month.

I've purchased some expensive items on forums and on ebay. However a grey market Deepsea is out of my comfort zone as well. Almost pulled the trigger on an ebay SS Daytona and then had one come up local within 5% so went with the AD instead. Hard to come by piece.

Jeez. Congrats. Great watch. Here is my gift to myself. I love wearing it. Makes me happy. I looked at the Deepsea but it was too big for my wrist. So I settled for the Hulk.

A little research of Sant Blanc (Sant Blanc, Branson MO) will show Sant Blanc is NOT not an AD and that they state they are not on their own website.

For that price I would have rather bought the Jaeger LeCoultre Master Compressor or even a Panerai Luminor Submersible.

Still a very nice Rolex though. :thumbup:
