Hi, Matt from NW Montana
Have a BK11 and a BK2 on order.
Have big Plans for the BK2 after reading up on all the mods.
Awesome Forum!!

sorry to hijack the 'hi to the new guys thread', but this is a hi to the new guy question. How NW montana are you? i'm Spokane, fish around St Regis all the time. Get to Libby and/or Glacier intermittently.

Hey guys, new guy here. I had a bunch of great responses and welcomes from my first post here but thought I would chime in here. I don't own any Beckers yet but that will change as soon as I get back stateside.

New to the Beckers . I've got quit a knife collection including Esee , Tops , Spartan , Microtech , MOD , ZT and numerous other popular brands but this is my 1st BKT/KaBar . About week ago I picked up a BK2 and a BK9 for cheaper than I paid for my Junglas i bought that same day . Now dont get me wrong by the time I got the Micarta Scales and a Azwelke Sheaths for the BK2 & 9 they cost about the same as the Esee 5 and Junglas . But these are awesome knives for the price and i'm sure would have surved their purpose in stock form . My Esee 5 has been my favorite for a while now but the BK2 sure is moving in fast . Already stripped and a Patina job on the new beckers . Bout to start some file work . Blade Forums is awesome . Been reading post on here for years but just now registered .

Thats the fun part, as opposed to something like ESEE. Instead of having your upgrades handed to you on a menu, it's much more personal and rewarding pimping your Becker your way.

Yep i'm new here too. Just got my first Becker, a bk 16. I'm loving that knife so far. Can't wait to get my hands on a bk 2 and 9.

I'm kind of new, I usually spend my time on this forum reading posts rather than responding to them. I do have my fair share of Beckers though, my favorite so far is the BK7.

Greetings. I am new-ish. I like it here. You all are a solid group.

"My name is Rod, and I like to party." Name that one, folks.

Hi i'm fairly new. I got a BK9, BK2, BK7 and old cam Crew Man, and 2 eskabars. My only wish is that there was 12 in long 1/4 thick BK 9.

Hello, you have probably seen me around but I am still pretty new to Beckers and this forum. I have a bk14 and a bk16 both of which I now swear by as my go-to knives. This place is awesome along with the community in it. You will probably see me lurking around and dropping in a post here and there.

I am a new guy around here. I have a BK 2 and BK 14 with plans to buy a 16 next and then 7 or 9 (still haven't decided for sure yet). I have a few other kabars and just finally bought a becker this year and fell in love. I found this forum searching for BK2 handle mods and have been addicted ever since. I am somewhat relieved to see I am not the only one with a knife buying/collecting addiction. I actully pulled up some pics on this site to show my worried wife that I "wasn't nearly as crazy as most of these guys" and that she didn't need to worry.

I only wish I had heard about Becker Knives sooner. Kabar needs to do some more advertising, get some exposure to a broader market. These knives are the AR-15 or Ruger 10-22 of the knife world. End user customizations galore! More people need to know about them. Kabar could sell a lot more knives with a little marketing.

Awesome site, love seeing what the old timers are up to and have to say and share.

Aloha BF/BKT :D

In the Becker armory now: BK-3 Tac Tool, BK-16 FPR, BK-17 and the BK-4. Having fun filling in the stock sheaths, adding paracord, etc. Bought some Jasco today! No joy on the green RIT though. Still on the hunt.

TTYL,
Phil aka PapaTango52

hello! my name is Paul, new to blade forums. i ordered a Becker necker off amazon and should have it by Thursday, then on Friday i'll be ordering my Becker campanion.

cubsfan1969, Davy, eternal noob, Jerk Off ---> :jerkit: , all those names and more apply. I live about 15 minutes north of Denver with no traffic, 3hrs and 15 minutes with. I've been hanging here for what, about a month at most now? This is really the only section I post in here on BF, though I read through many others. (whine and cheese cracks me up!). I am alone in my love of knives in real life, so hanging out here with others that share the same passion as me is great! I possess a 2, 4, 9, and 17 at the moment, and have come to find that with all the exotic steels out there, I still always come back to 1095. Thanks for putting up with me, I know that's easier said then done.

I'll throw a pop out for Beckerchat. For the new people, great place to hang too, just like here!

Hi, I'm usually just a lurker here in the Becker Forum but have been posting more recently; I usually hang out in the knifemaker forums seeing what i can learn from the experts. Right now, I own a BK-4, BK-11, BK-13 (prize from PWYP2012), a Becker/Ritter RSK, and a BK15. I've been making knives as a hobby for about two years now but still enjoy other knives as well and modding my BK15 was a lot of fun.

I hope this is okay. Here is a link to some of my knives: http://s622.photobucket.com/albums/tt304/rsuperjet1/KNIVES 2012/
