I just don't understand the bashing going on in another thread.

Your chance to cast a vote to if these are the kinds of threads worthy of your time.

I come here to read and learn about KNIVES

The rest of this is non productive for all involved...

Anyone here with me?

It's true though. It doesn't have to be non-productive for you. Just avoid the thread and read about and discuss knives. There are plenty of forums for that here.

That thread and some others lately have been somewhat of a trainwreck, but it's there now and there isn't anything that is going to be done about it. You can be sure that it won't be deleted, so it is going to remain here even if hundreds of people post that they are tired of the haters.

Anyway, I respect your opinion, and I do understand your frustration.

Thank You sir! I appreciate your voice of reason. :)

Agreed. and in Blade Forums, the train wrecks are generally well contained. Drop by the knifemakers forums and get your skull stuffed to capacity with some good info:thumbup: :)

Stop stirring shit.
Lots of us don't understand- but this is already being dealt with elsewhere by those who are already dealing with it. Unless you have some direct involvement in the debate & have something meaningful to contribute- best to please simply STFU.
Pointless thread & your "Hey Fellahs- there's a fight over by the swingset" bullshit isn't contributing to a resolution. Those of us who aren't involved just might be minding their own business. Novel concept, yes? Think about it & give it a try. Chatter from the peanut gallery benefits noone.
Fuck Off & go find another car wreck to gawk at.

Wow... freedom of speech means that some threads are going to take on a squirrelly little life of their own... I find them to be a pretty fair reflection of society in general, really.

Nope, some of us have no dog in that fight, and leave it to the others.

That's me, for the most part, though I did post a few times in response to some of the idiotic argument that was going on.

I'm tired of the thread because it's spinning off into more and more nuttiness.

Rereading my post above- My tone doesn't do anything to elevate the level of discourse here. Apologies for the language & confrontational tone. The message, however remains. No need to draw additional attention.

I still have a lot of questions...
I still think there is a basic misunderstanding going on with the way some look at the things Strider has writen, and what some think what he has writen must mean.

But, ...I guess I will just have to sit this conversation out and see if down the line i catch people in a better mood where we can bring up the topic again...

I've read the posts in "the other thread". Since I don't care for that particular company's products anyway and would not buy one of them, I didn't comment there. Like someone else stated here earlier, I too don't have a "dog in the fight" so I don't really care. Let's go read the other "productive and interesting" stuff.

You know, that "other thread" has become quite tedious - mostly due to the the rabid supporters of a certain maker who have difficulty confronting reality. But whatever view you happen to take on what's happening in that thread, we surely can all agree on the following: nobody is forcing anybody to read through all 60-odd pages and counting. Or even one page, for that matter. Don't find it productive? I can appreciate that viewpoint. What I can't appreciate is what you want others to do about it. Don't like it? Don't click on it. That simple. There is PLENTY of non-controversial knife discussion going on.

Roger
