RoseCraft Knives

I have the Appalachian Jack and the swayback (I forget the name), and I was SUPER HAPPY with the quality & F&F. No gaps, perfect centering, great walk & talk, and though this doesn't really matter a whole lot to me, they are actually flush in all 3 positions even!! For the price, you can't beat em.View attachment 2179234View attachment 2179235View attachment 2179236View attachment 2179237
Does the pry bar bother you any in the pocket? I suppose I'm assuming you let it free float in your pocket, but maybe you carry it some other way?

The French Broad Jack- to be released soon- looks an interesting item: Wharncliffe, kind of Copperhead bolster so the tang is more or less covered, Smooth Redbone. Yes.:)

The French broad jack is the one I've been checking out as well. Looks like a very nice design.

Rosecraft is a personal brand of former SMKW Rough Ryder designer Andy Armstrong. In my opinion, it shows who was responsible for some weird details in RRs, and I hope that RR knives will be more traditional since he left.

Not who you were asking but as someone who's carried this knife, the edges on the pry tool feel smooth enough that I don't worry about it poking my hand when fishing in my pocket, poking my leg, or ripping my pocket.

In fact, I'd say the crisp backsquare on some of my GECs is more threatening to my pocket's safety than the pry tool on the AJ.

Some of these look pretty good. I really like the Appalachian Jack except for the black micarta. I may snag one anyway, but it would be really sweet with the brown or dark red bone covers they have on some of their upcoming models.

Shipping and custom fees make them more than twice dearer. Better find a representative on this side.

Anyone ever see a pry bar on the butt of a traditional jack knife before?
To answer your original question, the GEC calf pen has something similar on it. Not sure if it’s a prybar or more of a screwdriver/scraper.

I'm so sorry. I never seen your question. Honestly, it doesn't bother me at all. I just drop it right in pocket, no slip. I guess because the corners aren't super sharp. Hope this helps even though I'm an ETERNITY late!! Again, my apologies.

I've been using it to open my GEC tubes... 🤣
