RoseCraft Knives

I've been fortunate to handle almost all traditional releases from RoseCraft, and enjoyed every single of them. A good variety of patterns, as well as fit and finish, walk and talk, just top notch. For the price point, I believe they are excellent introduction to the world of traditional pocket knives.

At the risk of igniting a flame war, I'd go out on a limb and say this -- hope GEC, Case and Buck take a lesson or two from Rosecraft and start providing a top notch and consistent fit and finish on their line of traditional patterns.

How well has the d2 held up and how well does it slice? I am asking about the grinds, easy to sharpen?

Both knives came yesterday, honestly I cannot see what made them seconds even though the reasons were marked on the boxes. Very nicely done, fit and finish are well above what I thought they would be. Both are sharp, the edges are fairly thin. Pull on the Barlow was a little stiff but manageable.image.jpg

Check out this Sweetwater Creek Senator!

And this one shows it next to the A. Wright pattern that inspired it:
